@DCGoldPants
Because I know the dude and went to vegas with him (he grew up with a Sig Ep bro of mine) Jon Richie.....FB for the Raiders. He's so hardcore on the field and so mellow off. Give 100% and never complains. He's $$$$. by the way, save the R. Moss, B. Favre, M. Faulk....I'm talking players who aren't on a ton of posters and magazine covers. [ by Bufford on November 16, 2001.]
bulldog
one unsung player that has been quite good for some time is Brock Marion. He has been part of some outstanding defenses in Dallas and Miami but doesn't get that much credit. He is a solid open field tackler, covers receivers well down the field and is an above average punt returner to this day at age 31. The Redskins had the chance to sign him as a free agent a few years ago and had him in for a visit, but allowed the Dolphins to snatch him up. Big mistake. The Redskins have been suffering with instability and a lack of athleticism at both safety spots since the 1991 Super Bowl.
SonnyJ
What about Gardner or Bowens from Miami (don't know if they're still top notch). I'd love to have a wall in the middle of the D-Line.
Die Hard
I've always followed the career of Tim Dwight with great interest. Great special teams player and wide receiver. Plays tough and all out. World class speed. I think he's bben tremendously underused. I don't think he runs great routes. ------------------ <IMG SRC="http://www.longhornway.com/terror.gif" border=0>
SPare
How about Brian Mitchell??? Okay, sorry about that. Among non-ex-Skins, I would have to say Pat Tillman of the Cards. As a safety, he has good coverage ability, seems to play with some intelligence, and is a pretty hard hitter. I would venture that most of the players on this list are going to be safeties or fullbacks. you know, the unsung heroes.... ------------------

laurent
I still think our biggest area of concern is at the tackles. If I could sign one player it would probably be the Ravens Sam Adams. Now if my pick were to be on offense I would go with David Boston. HTTR!
Terry
OK. staying away from most of the name players. 1. Punter Todd Sauerbrun. An outstanding punter and maintaining a high distance average even with having to punt a ton for the Panthers 2. I like the Steelers' Joey Porter. Earl Holmes is a stud, but Porter's numbers are also pretty impressive, and have trended upwards. He's got good size for a linebacker, hits hard and behind the line of scrimage (6.5 stuffs so far this season), and can get after the QB (10.5 sacks last season, and 7 at the halfway point this season). 3. Chris Chambers, Miami's rookie receiver. He's looking pretty good so far, and would be a potentially great deep threat to complement Gardner for the next 10 years
TennesseeCarl
Is Tom Brady of the Patriots a name player yet? I might want him. Cornelius Griffin. WR Driver up in Green Bay Peerless Price over in Buffalo Shaun Alexander of the Seahawks is going to be a stud That Farve guy..I hear he can throw the ball. Brave
All time? Walter Payton from the late 70s/early 80s. Current? Hmmmmmm. Strahan would be nice. Tory Holt at WR. Gonzalez at TE. Shawn Williams at safety. Maybe Urlacher.
redman
Greg Biekert. He's sort of the defensive counterpart to Richie on the Raiders. I've also always admired Aeneus Williams. I like Norman Hand in New Orleans. ------------------ "Loosen up, Sandy baby. GrapeApe
Kendell Bell, rookie LB for the Steelers. I wouldn't mind having Larry Centers back.

Fitz
I'll take Sam Adams. No, not a Sam Adams, I've already got a few in the fridge . The Sam Adams, the big run-stuffer in Baltimore. I'd also love to have Frank Wycheck back. Cutting him was a stupider move on Norv's part than losing Thrash or B. Mitch.
NavyDave
I'd trade B Smith for Sam Adams. not the football player but a six pack for the fridge. I like K Bell of the steelers
