A gut feeling!!

I hiope I'm not wrong, but am I the only one who feels confident in our chances of running the ball (at least in our own division) this season. After watching the first half of the Steelers vs. Eagles game, I thought about our last game against the Dolfins. I thought about how easily it seemed that Pitt. moved the ball on the ground, while we (the Redskins) moved the ball against a (top rated) Miami Def. I feel that not only do we have a much better back than the Steelers (Duece vs. Portis is no contest) we also have just as good, if not better, O-line.

This makes me feel really warm inside!!

well....with their current injury problems...they do look vulnerable to the run. kearse isn't a run stop specialist and the iggles had trouble stopping the run last season. I was thinking the same thing watching the game tonight. their O does look better/more threatening with TO. but, especially with all the injuries, their D has somemobvious shortfalls.

I truly hope Williams works a variation on the spy defense in which ST shadows TO all game long. Just one knock him cold hit is all I ask for!!!!!!!

The only problem I have with that is that I want ST doubling on T.O. all game long.

If the Eagles weren't sitting five defensive starters who will be healthy and playing September 12th, you'd have a point.

I think after a few smacks upside the head of TO by our DB's. TO will be hesitant to run across the middle like he does so well. We really need to clock this guy a few times early when we play them to just let him know. No more crossing routes for TD's like he did against our defense last year.:(

I don't know if we have the DBs to match up with T.O. (other than S.T.) that is one of the things I'm most worried about.

Aaaaah, so the usual drill for us Skins fans again, Park? I was hoping maybe we could come out of the gate talking smack, but I guess you're right. 12 years in the hole will humble even a Redskin fan.

the fish was a bad test for the skins offense/defense, I think they will be aweful this year....

The rams(the best show on turf) should be a much better test....with there pass happy offense we should get a good inside look to how are defensive backfield will be this year, as well as how we will run between the tackles.

The Eagles were doing what we were doing. Sitting guys that they know can play. Except sitting Westbrook made no sense. An Eagle fan at work told me that he's alittle banged up, but I can't find anything on it.

Duce sure looked good last night though. Talk about letting the wrong guy go AGAIN.

My observation of the game followed with these feelings. 1.the running game for the steelers was sucessfull because of the eagles DBs needing help!! I feel the DBs will prevent the 8 men in the box to prevent the the run, or allow big passing plays. 2.T.O. wont be intimidated by any hits, hes been doing this to long to change his play, no matter how hard S.T. hits him !!

Considering the Eagles have given up the least points in the NFL over the last four years now.......

Go ahead and look it up.
