Saint Joe
On NFL Access today, some guy was saying how Tim Couch had a good shot at being cut, which wasn't surprising. But, what was surprising was who would be the other quarterback on the roster - Scott McBrien, former Maryland Terps' quarterback. I would have thought he had no future in the NFL. But, once again, it proves arm strength is not half as important as the ability to read the defense.

TheDoyler23
I'm suprised nobody drafted McBrien (even with a 7th rd pick) after his 300+ yards whooping of West Va in the gator bowl.
Funbuncher
IMO K2 will be very good. The only concern is that he will be too big of a pain in the a$$ ala Terrell Owens.
afparent
I didn't think he was NFL caliber either, but I am glad for him and the Terp program

Cskin
They said that on some plays... Couch only knew where one of his receivers were on pass routes. I believe Couch has lost the heart to play the game. Seems to me he'd have a new lease on life and dive so deep into the playbook that he'd know it by heart. Signing with Green Bay was the best way to resurrect his career... play behind Farve and be his heir apparent at some point when Brett hung up the cleats. Crazy!!!! nace14
scotty deserves a shot. all he did was win at umd. plus he's a great guy. he was the most under rated college qb last year. the kid leads dematha for 3 years to championships, he ends up getting hosed by the new coach of west virginia after he already was at the school, then transfers to umd and smashes wvu everytime they played to prove a point, and led umd to one of the best turn around programs (with much thanks to the fridge) in the past 10 years. put him on the field. (in case you can't tell i went to grade school with the kid)
TerpSkin
But, once again, it proves arm strength is not half as important as the ability to read the defense. Actually, McBrien has a very strong arm... his problem is that he is short and has a bit of a side-arm delivery. But you're right that you don't always have to be the prototypical NFL QB to do well in the NFL.
