Brad Johnson hurt...

Doesn't this sound awefully familiar to the Stubby injury a few years back when he hurt himself at home and missed the last 7 or 8 games of the season. Hopefully Brad will play at least that many games. I wouldn't want the media calling him the biggest free agent bust before he even takes the field.

I know this is in poor taste, but I'm not gonna let KMP or Mick beat me to this one, dammit...evil.gif

"Oops!! Let's do try to be more careful, Brad. The last thing we want is to disappoint our new fans in Tampa by not being available to suit up, do we?"

Guys like bucs92 just couldn't handle that.

I GUARANTEE that it was his wife's fault that he got injured moving furniture. They never seem to follow the directions that you grunt to them as you are struggling with the heavy end, they always drop the thing at the wrong time (like when you are trying to get a better grip or navigate a tight corner), and they are NO help at all going down the stairs backwards.

Then again, maybe it was that dead right arm of his that just gave out on him.

Well now is da widdle widdle leggy hurty so jerky jerky smile.gif

Just kidding Brad. Now you will have to deal with the Sec. of Defense, Warren Sapp! You will be accused of being "not tough" enough and many will question your, uh um, physical fortitude. Kinda' reminds me of that punter from the playoffs with the "B'Ball injury", what'shisname?????

BJs wife was helping him move furniture? He's lucky.

My other half would give me that call your Brothers or Buds on base look when it comes to moving things bigger than suitcass for our getaways.

All of that money and he can't hire movers?

All I got to say is that whatever he did to get 15 stiches must of been pretty bad. Especially in Brad's case, he's such a tough guy. Miss the begining of camp? I bet Shaun King is doing backflips thinking that he'll get a jump on BJ.

Okay RedskinFan4Life I'll let this one rip.

Brad's Bucs career is starting off on the wrong foot. He'll need to get a leg up on the QB competition with King and Leaf on the roster.

Boy was that bad or what? Sorry I need to get a cup of coffee to let the bile flow freely.

Poor Brad. I know he was looking for a fresh start in Tampa and this only sets him back a bit. I honestly wish Brad well. I blame Snyder for forcing him to want to leave the Redskins. He could have still been a good QB for the Redskins.

I don't blame DAN for BJs departure if BJohnson had the intestinal fortitude he would have stepped it up in his contract year.

Look at Barry Bonds contract year and will hit about 69 HRs to get another big contract.

I wasn't on the BJ bandwagon especially when I found out how much he cost and we could have signed JGeorge without compensation and upgraded other areas with those picks.

I don't wish success for any player of a team that has fans I can't stand.

Whew, glad it's not a serious injury. I hate the Bucs with a passion, therefore I wish nothing but bad luck upon them.

So, when I saw "Brad Johnson hurt" I got very nervous that he may be out for a long time. Luckily, sounds like he'll be just fine-- bad news for the Bucs IMO, and that makes me happy. smile.gif

tsk tsk NavelDave and Keister,

cheap shots galore for a cut......I'm not sure why you dislike the Bucs so much.....perhaps because they are so much better than your team these past years......Boys, green is a color I'd reserve for Artie's suits (lime, I'm sure)and the food experiments he has in the back of his refrigerator.

Green might be a colour of envy but Silver is the colour of a Superbowl Trophy, something they've never seen in Tampa thus taking away any bragging rights about being "better". In the NFL there is 1 winning team and 30 losers. Remember that.

And YOU are one of the losers.....winning 10 years ago doesn't wash in 2001....You have no right to swagger at all, rather, you should hide your head in shame that the morons that run your franchise let a wimp coach the team for 7 long years......So, yes, the Bucs are better....live it, learn it, believe it.

Bucs92, so far Dungy has been there for what 5 years?

What have the Bucs to show for it except the fact they are now a respectable team that is no longer circled as a sure "W" on everyone's calendar?

Now, maybe for a franchise that has gone 20 odd years without much respect from around the NFL, that is everything.

But when you start posting on boards where fans from teams such as SF, Dallas, Washington and the Packers in the NFC have won MULTIPLE Super Bowls you have to bring more with you in your pocket to the "fight" than a penknife.

Until the Bucs win SOMETHING, be it an NFC Championship or Super Bowl, they will have achieved nothing significant that will be remembered 5 years from now.

Nothing that YOU will remember 5 years from now.

I sure hope that Kenyatta Walker does a good job in pass protecting Brad's blind side from all of those sofas, chairs, tables, and other household items that are going to be chasing him around every Sunday.

Bucs92, while you mull over the reason some folks have decided to take cheap shots at the Bucs (well, at Brad Johnson anyway. Could it be that he was our QB last year? Nah.), perhaps you might want to use some of that considerable creative energy of yours to solve the even greater mystery revolving around why it is that you feel the need to repeatedly take cheap shots at the Redskins and their fans on a Redskins board.

TOUCHDOWN, Washington Redskins!

Froggy,

Let's not get absurd. Your proposed link between how many SBs a team has won and the worthiness and knowledge their fans possess is idiocy. If that were true, Artie would actually say something sensible (and concise) once in a while....

Bull, you're just going to have to come to grips with the fact that you have had absolutely nothing to do with the Redskins winning SBs, and their winning them doesn't make you more knowledgeable than Cardinals fans (either of them)...

So, hang your hat somewhere else, cupcake, and worry more about whether JG is throwing balls in the WCO or throwing them TO the WC when he gets happy feet.

Henry-baby,

Hey, everybody poor-mouthing Brad has been going on for a while.....I get it sport, don't fret.

As for me, I'm just interjecting some life on the board during the most boring period of the offseason.....just a gadfly to peck away a little when Deadskin heads dream of their favorite "Larry Centers moment" or thump their chests that Kenard Lang will be driving the Cowboys OL into the backfield...rolleyes.gif........just a keeper of the light, shining a little into the dark spaces....smile.gif

Oh, I'm sorry Bucs92. Watching all those 2-14 teams over the years struggle with JUCO talent in Tampa definitely puts YOU in a much better position to look at a team and judge its capabilities than someone else that has followed 14-2 teams to the Super Bowl tongue.gif

You know, it's really hard to get irritated with Bucs92's flaming posts with that flaming RuPaul pic staring back at you. I end up busting a gut before I can reach the reply button.

But hey, since I managed to reach the reply button successfully this time, I will credit the Bucs for dispelling one NFL myth during the Dungy era--

"Defense wins championships."
