So, Where is my De$on update?

Recommended Posts

Deion is trying to figure out a way to get a HUMVEE or urban assault vehicle to make it through to Carlise.

With his words about the city and fans of Washington and his conduct in the offseason, Sanders may be the most despised athlete this area has ever had.

I don't think he ever thought it would come to this point.

Now, it is time for him to reap what he has sowed.

And the harvest ain't pretty. biggrin.gif

Good one, Mick.

Gee, I sure would hate for ole Deion to feel uncomfortable.

One good thing ... IF by some awful twist of fate he remains with the team, he won't exit the tunnel with arms raised waiting for the love and adoration to rain down upon him. He might just run to the bench like a normal football player.

Wouldn't that be something?

Redskins | Sanders Expected Now - posted at KFFL (http://nfl.kffl.com)

July 23, 2001 18:43:21 PT The Washington Post reports Washington Redskins coach Marty Schottenheimer said he is now planning for CB Deion Sanders to be on the team's roster when training camp opens Sunday. The coach said a conversation last week with agent Eugene Parker left him hopeful, but not certain on Sanders.

Funny how a few months ago we were counting days till De$on was the be cut. Now Marty is planning on him being in camp. What a world? I guess Deion on the roster is better than anyone besides Champ and Darrell.

having Deion is a catch-22, what he could add on the field he could detract from the locker room.

the one positive is that Schottenheimer had some hard to handle players like Dale Carter in the past and was successful at keeping them in line for the most part.

the trick is to break Deions "Prime-Time" spirit during training camp. 2-a-days with windsprits and the end for everyone except Darrell and Bruce. Deion having to work on every play and if he doesn't...then they do it again and again until he gets it right. By the time the last pre-season game happens, hopefully Deion will just be sitting there thinking nothing but football, covering his man, not paying attention to the crowd, supporting Champ and Darrell.

I'm dreaming, that won't happen.
