Banks Just Missed Another Touchdown To Gardner: Where is Graham?

what the hell do we have to lose by putting Graham out there and seeing what he can do?

Banks hasn't shown anything over the past 4 or 5 weeks that would suggest he is improving in this offense.

He plateaued weeks and weeks ago and is just what he is: a qb with a 70 rating that throws as many picks as touchdowns and doesn't have a good feel for the game.

Banks has kept his record intact. Even numbers of picks and td's.

He was 9 and 9. Then 9 and 10 with the pick today. Now, the td to Rasby gets him back to zero again.

Is there a chance he could actually finish as a net plus for the season?

Isn't it like Banks to go and do something ***** after he shows us a ray of hope?

Actually bulldog, I think you call that a Raye of hope.

the problem, blakman, is which bad play are you referring to? We're sick of them, because he's bringing down the team.

I'm sympatheric for Banks because the offense doesnt allow him to show his strengths. Dont get me wrong, I dont want him as our QB next year either. But I dont think that we should just hate him for being him. Like I said earlier, there have been a lot of drops this year, even this game. Sure banks has done his share of the bad, but he doesnt deserve all the blame, and definately not as much as he's getting today.

I don't hate Banks. Banks' biggest problem has been that he is in a position he is not suited for. Banks is a good backup in this league that can be effective for short spurts. He is not a guy to count on for 16 games.

And I agree that Marty has not made anything easy for him. He runs the ball on first and second downs and leaves Banks in third and 8 or 10 all the time.

Those are plays that are difficult for all but the best quarterbacks to consistently make.

I don't think anyone here is pinning all the blame on Banks. Indeed, today as has been happening all year long, Raye has been getting a lot of flak too. It's just that Banks doesn't seem to make anything, certainly not much, out of the opportunities that the games present him. It's like Sonny said a little while ago on the radio - it just seems like he needs so much more time than good QB's to simply see the field and to make his reads.

FYI.

Banks has the same 8-3 record as Marty over the last 11 weeks. We ought to be thankful he was around for us. And we can be encouraged he won't, likely, be around next year.

Doom is in the box.
