Ax Posted July 1, 2004 Share Posted July 1, 2004 BNN Exclusive: AuxNews Admits They Reported Lies BNN has learned that AuxNews, the right wing 24hr TV News channel, and home of the popular "Oh Really Factor", has been forced to admit that they used faulty information in a report that first aired this morning. An anonymous source has told BNN, "They knew exactly what they were doing. They knew it was wrong, and they put it out there anyway". BNN can't confirm this. But it does SOUND credible. BNN corespondent Christmytaste Inclothesispoor interviewed Yawn Vanity, a spokesperson for AuxNews, and half of the popular "Vanity & Clone" TV show, (also seen on Aux) and filed this report. Christmytaste - First, won't you tell our audience what happened.. Yawn - Well, we were reporting on the rave reviews for Ax Moore and his "SMASH SUMMER HIT" Farenhyped 1/22. Christmytaste - Uh huh.. Yawn - That's when we inadvertently added the incorrect information into our report. Christmytaste Inclothesispoor - And what was that?. Yawn - We mispelled Thiebear. Christmytaste - How could that happen?. Yawn - I have no idea. This is not what we're all about. You know our motto when it comes to facts "Bare and Challenged." Christmytaste - Is that all?. Yawn - No, there was something else. Christmytaste - And what was that?. Yawn - Well we.....this is hard for me to say. Christmytaste - Go ahead. It'll be OK.. Yawn - We, er um, forgot to put a forward slash between the 1 and the 22 in the headline title. This omission made it difficult for some viewers to see this was a date. :doh: Christmytaste - We have a report from an anonymous source that says your network KNEW they had mispelled the name, yet still chose to run with it.. Yawn - That is just not true. Like BNN, our network only reports the news. You know, "We Retort, You Deride" Christmytaste - Do you think this will cost you fans and followers of your news organization?. Yawn - We certainly hope not. This has been an embarrassing episode, and we apologize to all our worshipers, er um, listeners. Christmytaste - And do you have anything you' like to say to Thiebear, the victim in all this?. Yawn - Yeah, go f**k yourself! Christmytaste - :thud: Yawn - Just kidding. :laugh: Kinda had a Dick Cheney moment there. And you know what, I DO feel better. But yes of course we apologize to Thiebear and his family for any pain this may have caused. For BNN, this is Christmytaste Inclothesispoor.
