You have an owner who seems as if he would dump his coach in a heartbeat for some college hot shot. That must make you feel real good going into the season finale tomorrow. We have a chance to finish 8-8 after an 0-5 start and what is everybody talking about? Our head coach getting fired. I can't stand Snyder. He is never satisfied, and doesen't have a clue of what he wants. He doesen't understand that stability is a major factor in a teams success. All he wants to be is the talk of the NFL. All show, just like that idiot that owns the cowpies. He has no loyality to anyone but himself. In a time when no one wanted the Skins head coaching job, Marty stepped to the plate and brought back some much needed respectability to the Redskins. Oh well, too bad Marty. Now I want someone else. Way to go Danny boy. Ruin everything and start over again. Make Spurrier your fourth head coach in little over one year. Yea, thats stability! bulldog Posted January 6, 2002 Share Posted January 6, 2002 well, to be fair to Snyder Marty didn't come here out of the goodness of his heart he came here for $10 million. and the chance to fill the coaching staff with his relatives and his lifelong buddies things are never as black and white as they appear on the surface. sure Snyder wants to win and is impatient. At the same time he can see Marty proclaiming the Redskins to be a contending football team in August and then start out the season losing 30-3 and 45-13 to teams in San Diego and KC that end up being below .500 performers he also sees Marty give Jeff George the vote of confidence and then pull the rug out after just two games. so, for Snyder the question is was it just a matter of Marty getting his sea legs and taking some time to get going, or is the hurky-jerk performance of the team and its inability to win games when a playoff berth is on the line at home symptomatic of a coach that is in over his head in the dual role and who has put together a flawed team? How many times were they wrong this year? who really expected Jeff to be cut? So....while Snyder is still not going to comment......lets just wait and see. Art Posted January 6, 2002 Share Posted January 6, 2002 Christ Bufford, I do enjoy it when someone else says the same thing I've been saying over at another board. No one here can point to one thing that Snyder has done incorrectly this year. These stories are all coming from "NFL Sources" or just sources, and very rarely, team sources, which, as we discovered from Keim yesterday, can be just about anyone. Like he said himself about Darrell Green walking around telling people it was going to be a big day on Tuesday. Actually, Darrell told one guy who told Keim but never mentioned WHY it was going to be a big day, so, Keim decided it was an opportune time to set his agenda based on that "source". A lot of this could be true. A lot of it could be false. We have to wait a bit to know, but, it is frustrating that we believe every single thing published. Let's not forget here that the media has been jumping up and down about Wolf for weeks now and Wolf himself recently indicated he's never been contacted by the Redskins. How could that be? The media has been talking about the link for weeks, but, we've never even contacted the guy, according to the guy himself? We're all going to be happy or sad or mad or glad soon.
