bulldog
Wilbur Jackson was #40 for the Skins and was their leading rusher in 1980 when Riggins held out. The last MVP for the season? Joe Theismann in 1983 is my guess. Last rookie of the year? How about Mike Thomas in 1976 when he totalled 1,100 yards as a middle round pick? Mickalino
Wilbur Jackson is correct for #1 Joe Theismann for #2. (Kilmer you were close - Moseley won it the year before Theismann) And #3, which nobody got, was Charley Taylor, the only Redskin to ever win that award
bulldog
the confusing thing about MVP is there were TWO awards the AP vote and the UPI vote at the time. The AP vote is the one we have gone based off of in hindsight, but at the time Moseley was the candidate of one organization in 1982 and there was another by UPI, I don't remember who it was whether it was Freeman McNeil of the Jets or someone else. Mickalino
True, but that's why I specified in #2, that it was based on the AP
bulldog
not cutting on ya, man. just noting the two votes make the memory part of the exercise harder to effect after all these years
