Overrated Quarterbacks

If you ask me, Delhomme performed just as well, if not better than Brady did in the Superbowl. Delhomme perfomed better than Brady throughout the playoffs. I don't think Brady deserved the MVP award, and I certainly don't think he deserved the comparisons to Joe Montana that were being tossed about around that time. In my eyes he's overrated.

Agreed. Delhomme is very underrated. He just improved as the season progressed. He was made fun of so much before the Superbowl, so I'm glad he did well.

Brady is good for sure.. but come on now. He had a couple drives that saved the big games, but it was Viniateri who scored. Brady didn't go all the way down and score a touchdown as Montana did. He just had to get 30 yards away from the endzone, which is definitely hard, but is not exactly Montana.

Speaking of Brady's drives, I don't understand why someone (Madden during the Rams game) would think that making an attempt to score in a tied game - with the game almost over - is dangerous. As long as you have decent field position to start with, what's the worst that could happen? Interception... but that could also happen in overtime of course. And if you play for overtime, you don't necessarily get a possession. So only good things could come out of trying to score. It always annoys me when teams don't do this.

Overrated: Unquestionably McNabb. He simply doesn't have the ability to carry his team to the next level, despite a consistently good defense and a great running game. If the Eagles had started Feeley, they might have gotten to a Super Bowl by now. Stick Culpeper on that team, they've would've gone three times.

Underrated: Jake Delhomme, Matt Hasselbeck, Trent Green.

I do understand the topic and no McNabb is not the only player on the team... Mcnabb is the unquestioned leader of the team though and deservers credit for leading them to the Championship games... As for you not wanting him on your team well their is a fool born every day.

I explained to you why i wouldnt want him on my team though. If you cant respect tht , its all good.

Looking at our 3 super bowl wins, we had thiesman, rypien, willians- all pocket QBs. Grew up following Gibbs and start thinking like him as well i guess.

Carter definitely has a strong arm, but as we saw with Jeff George a cannon for an arm doesn't mean squat if you don't have the head game. As far as Carter's feet, he's mobile but he doesn't use it to his advantage correctly. He was sacked 37 times last year, and Dallas' line isn't bad. That leads me to believe that he has a problem with holding on the ball too long.

Parcells is going to play the best player at every position, much as Joe Gibbs does. However, if you examine the Dallas roster, QB is certainly not a position of strength. When the alternative is Hutchinson, I'd go with Carter too. If Carter were the answer the Cowboys would not have traded for Drew Henson.

And by the way......its Troy Hambrick (unless you were joking about that)

Umm, our line was horrendous last year. Besides flo, everyone on our line couldn't pass block worth a darn. Carter is regularily harrassed before he can even drop back. Carter however, did struggle. In the first 6 games or so, he played like a probowler. Then we started seeing, 7 even six man fronts and carter couldn't cope with it. This season proved one thing about quincy, he is most likely not the qb you want as your first option on offense, he lacks the skills.
