f_dallas
I was definately torn on Owens and when the Birds lost him, I wasn't saying he would be a curse in Baltimore, but I was thinking it was possible the Birds dodged a bullet. In the next few days, McCariens and Jackson went off the board and TO did nothing but say "I want to be in Philly"- kinda made me want him in green more hearing him say this is the place he really wanted to be... I feel you will have a hard time doing that with TO in the mix in Philly. He has never shown that he is a team player, and I think that will continue. The honeymoon will be a short one. Very true, essex. Still, I'd prefer 12-4 seasons as opposed to what they've treated me to for the majority of my life - 3 to 8 win seasons. Ugh. Also agree about TO. I'm still skeptical, but like f_dallas said, he maintained his desire to play in Philly. More power to him (and the team) if he's able to change his attitude and fit in. Still, it's all a lot of fun to speculate about all of this. Can't wait for training camp - hope Kearse and Burgess make it through. Reid hasn't proven himself completely yet, but it will be good to see him coaching against Gibbs. Remember, the Eagles threw Marion Campbell, Buddy Ryan and Tricky Dick Kotite at Gibbs before - not a stellar lineup of coaches. No wonder the Eagles never won anything with those talented teams of the late '80s, early '90s.
essex03
Hell yeah, speculation is half the fun! Everyone ****ing about who we are or arent drafting, none of us have the answer until everything finally goes down, and then of course we will have the "I told you so" threads... Butz65
I've gotten crap from Eagles fans here about the Skins trading for Thrash. I have to remind them that it was the Eagles who picked him up to be their #1WR. Talk about a bust on their end. Had the Birds done their homework in the first place they might be battling Gibbs & Co. for the next team to grab a 4th Lombardi (instead of playing the bride on a wedding night sending others to glory). As it stands it took them a few years to realize they needed a real #1 WR on the roster. Thrash restructured his contract - the Skins picked up a decent role player with lots of experience on the cheap. I figure they'll start to implode about week 5 when TO realizes he has to share the ball and Kearse suffers the same toe and foot injuries that sidelined Taylor and Vincent for most of last season. Run Portis run! :eaglesuck :eaglesuck :eaglesuck
OaktonSkins/BushFan
Talk about desperation - TO? He's a cancer. Reid's desperate manuever to acquire TO is really a self-indictment for the Fecal's failure over the past three years. His own personal failure has clearly driven him crazy.
