WP: Long-term deal with McCants close!

It was around midnight. Art felt a shudder run through him.

He looked away from the computer. What was it?

He pulled out his wallet and counted the cash.

Still there he thought to himself.

Later he checked his wallet again.

Still there.

Art looked across the darkness of the frozen tundra. He knew they would be coming. Maybe not now. Maybe not tomorrow night.

But they would be coming.

We would end up with WR's of coles, mccants, jacobs and thrash. Overall, Still a pretty good group of WR's. In the process we end up with a 1st round, 2nd round and 5th round pick. Then we trade trotter for a 4th or 5th rounder pick. All of a sudden, we go from 1 pick in the draft to 4 picks. If we trade down in the fist round we could be back to a full complement of picks.

very interesting wouldn't be upset to see that happen

Slinky ... that is a great use of the Gibbs Picture.

As for the perverted interpretation of bofluid's signature, I would say that the caption should read ... Yeah, it only gets this big at my age.

I still haven't seen anything official regarding Thrash. I would be a little surprised because Thrash isn't that young anymore (30 years old) and with our draft pics we should be trying to bring in younger talent at this point. Many of our free agent acquisitions have been young, so that is good (aside from Brunell), but I really figured that we would use the pick at this point. Also, what kind of money is Thrash scheduled to make?

I'm extremely happy to (hopefully) be keeping Darnerian -- he seems to be a hard worker, -very- adept at shielding the ball from CBs... It'll be quite something to see him coached by a -real- coach instead of SOS... I imagine he'll progress quite nicely.

What's so refreshing about Darnerian is that he understands the tradition and legacy of this team and is proud to be a Redskin. It's always an honour to have a great character guy like Darnerian to cheer on. We couldn't ask for a better player character wise to be representing the burgundy and gold.

We can quickly add his name to that core group of Redskins that Gibbs wanted to assemble, who can be depended on to represent the team with honour.

Great move.

Gardner isn't a Gibbs player it seems. I love the phantom pass interference calls he talks to the referees about.

Rod (gets up after falling down....looking around for a call)-"WHAT..REF YOU DIDN'T SEE THAT PASS INTERFERENCE????"

Ref-"No Rod, I was blinded by the bling bling in your ear lobes..oh and the nearest DB was 5 yards infront of you."

guys guys dont be ridiculous. mccants is perhaps not good enuff to be a starter yet. he is great in the no. 3 role bcause he is goin against small corners. gardner is a former-1000 yard wideout who is a decent blocker. but is a great no. 2 guy. one of the top 10 no. 2 guys in the league. the question is wut will happen to jacobs?

I dont know if you are kidding or not....but he does get a lot of pass interference calls just by sticking his hand on his back

Resigning McCants is a good move, obviously. This other stuff about trading Gardner and picking up thrash though is a little over the top. McCants and Taylor show the potential to be good #3's this year and then we'll see. After that we have Cloman, Russell, and Swayne. We're not really all that deep with proven talent. thrash has proven that he hustles and plays hard and is a good st player but can't do much as a wr -- why would we want a 30 year old guy at anything other than a minimum salary as a 5th wr and st player?. Or give up a pick for him when he's likely to be waived anyway?

Gardner didn't have much of a year last year, but nobody on the team except Coles had a good year last year and he has shown that he can produce in a working offense. Let's stick with what we have at this point at wr.
