gridironmike
I just wanted to throw out a reminder. I got a letter about a month ago from the Redskins touting a rewards Visa from MBNA. When I called the number, the Redskins Ticket Office answered. I explained what I wanted to do and was transferred to an MBNA rep. I already had a Redskins Visa and the letter said I would need to upgrade to qualify. I told the MBNA rep this approximately three times but somehow ended up with another card with a new account number (so as not to confuse, at this point I had two cards). The new card came in and had my Redskins season ticket account number on it under my name. I called this week to find out when I would begin to accrue points, but the rep was not sure. Well, I got a phone call this morning from the director of this program that worked for MBNA. He explained the whole program to me and said he is working hand in hand with the Redskins Ticket Office on the program. He consolidated my two accounts and said that a new card will actually be issued in April with the rewards logo and Redskins logo on the card. He also dropped the APR from 2.9% to 0% for six months. He called the Redskins to get my tickets charged to the proper account number. Whats my point? Purchases with the card earn you points toward free (some autographed) Redskins merchandise or even on field visits. You also earn two free Tailgate Club passes (ifyou are a 2004 season ticket holder) when you pay your first bill if you order the card by 3/01. If you're a ticket holder, order the card and pay the bill just to get the Tailgate Club passes. All in all, I guess I wanted to pass along the customer service that MBNA provided me. If you're a ticket holder call 1-800-685-9909 to apply.
