Troy Fakeman
New England has the 21st and the 32nd pick in the First Round. When we lose our 2nd round pick for Portis.....we might trade our 5th pick overall to New England for these two. Not bad. THIS TRADE IS WORTH IT. RabidFan
Maybe, or someone with a high #1 and #2 could wanna jump up for Mike Williams or something......I think it all depends on our FA signings.....
XNOUGHT
No Sorry, won't happen. The Pats are targeting Tatum Bell and Greg Jones right now. Everyone last year thought my Pats would trade up, and they never did. It will happen again this year. But you WILL heard rumors of a Patriots Washington trade up until the draft. It won't happen, but you will hear rumors.
Destino
You may be able to trade Portis for their two #1's. The only reason NE would trade up is to get a RB. With three number 1's you shouldn't have problems picking up a back (cheaper) and defensive lineman.

According to the draft value chart, we need to get one of NE's 2nd round picks to make it a fairly even trade.
SkinInsite
NE would have give a lot more than that to move up to #5. Look what redskins give up for the #3 couple years back. And what Jets give to NE to move up.

SlobberKnockinFootball
I don't know about picking that far down the line. I'm sure we can get someone's 2nd rounder and move anywhere in between 8-16 on the draft board for the first round. Picking at that spot is like having 3 2nd round picks

Which is why it won't happen. Pats have too many aging vets to just centralize their draft into 1-3 players.
NavyDave
Don't see it They are to close to the cap already. I see us dropping and gaining 2nd and 3rd rounders then using those picks to jump into the 1st round
KirkNC
The Pats FO also seems to have a geniune distaste for the Redskins FO. I think that also kinda puts a damper on this deal.
AJWatson3
maybe if we had the #10, i'd make that trade, but the #5 is worth more. plus, NE has great talent scouts. they will find awesome players at #21 and #32 that will fit perfectly into their system. as sick as they would be with steven jackson, they will make due getting greg jones and jake grove or a LB.
