Any word on the official playbook yet?

Don Breaux was a RB coach right, and now he plans on coordinating an offense? He and Joe have both been out of the loop for over a decade now right? Somebody help me out here. I am scratching my head wondering what the what the what?

Joe Bugel has been some what in the wave of current events:

1990-93 Cardinals Head coach

1995-97 Raiders assistant and then head coach

1998-01 Offensive line coach

2003 evaluations as a consultant for the Skins

What I am wondering is how much has the game evolved in a decade? How will the beast of parity effect Joe's GM as well as game plan scheme? Any word on the official playbook?

Are you out of your damn mind questioning Don Breauxs offensive accumen? Did you even bother to research who he is and what he did for the past decade before you started to type this ignorant tripe of yours? This board is cluttered enough as it is, there's no need for you to make things worse.

"After leaving the Redskins in 1993, he served as tight ends coach for the New York Jets in 1994. He went on to join the original coaching staff of the Carolina Panthers is 1995, and remained with the team for seven seasons as tight ends coach. He helped tutor Wesley Walls to five Pro Bowl selections."

Guess I missed that he was a TE's coach this decade for the Jets and Panthers.

Don't forget, some of the offenses currently being run around the NFL are based on Joe Gibbs' offense. Most every team has used some of his old plays so they have obviously stood the test of time. The offensive playbook is the least of my worries. Thank God for that.

Guess you also missed that he will work together with Zampese to design the offense and also chose to overlook that Gibbs offense has been one of the most productive in NFL history. Not to mention that many teams to this day are running a modified Zampese/Gibbs offense.

BTW I am out of my damn mind. Thanks for clearing the air...

Regardless of my knowledge of who's who which will come in time as my interests seems to grow more and more with the Mystique of the Skins.

I still have a feeling that there will be this learning curve obstacle for this team. I saw us go through it last season. Question is how significant will this learning curve be for both Joe as well as the Skins in his New System?

We have had 3 losing seasons with Mark at the helm mainly because of lack of protection at the line thanks to injuries. How far is the O-line from being formidable weapon? What is the weakest and strongest links?

The Skins will be facing a formidable opponent in Dallas and Philly. The Giants look to be the best place to stack up some w's this season in the division with TC trying to implement his system. You all have a monstrous schedule with teams that are seasoned in their systems, and a major fraction of the schedule seems to me to be in route for off-season appearances. I was just thinking that putting the playbooks in the hands of your playmakers ASAP was vital.

In a game of inches... I think the Skins have an opportunity to go 9-7 this season if everything goes right. Getting the Playbook out I agree is not as important as getting the offensive line tightend up, as well as other things, but it is something the team can do now. I am sure there is atleast a partial playbook developed by now...

The Jacksonville threesome will need time to perform on the field and off, and only a good offensive line will give them that with the current schedule. And the sooner the playbook is in their hand no matter what form its in the better. I remember Smith being lost on a play midway through the season, and having to ask Leftwich where he was supposed to be before the play was snapped. So to me this is a major issue.

Green Bay Playoff Bound (PB)

Minnesota (PB)

Tampa Bay

Baltimore (PB)

Cincinnati

Dallas (PB)

Philadelphia (PB)

New York Giants

TBD Pittsburgh

TBD Detroit

TBD Chicago

TBD San Francisco

TBD Cleveland

TBD Dallas (PB)

TBD Philadelphia (PB)

TBD New York Giants

football is still about blocking, tackling, throwing, catching and running so i don't think the game hasn't evolved from that. everyone runs pretty much the same plays so it all depends on when you call the plays.

I think it was the effects of the chronic for smith being lost than the complexity of the playbook.

We get an additional camp since we have a new Headcoach. And taking Coach at his word that means both Brunenel and Ramsey getting reps with the playbook.

The thing about Gibbs and the Tuna is that the practice and practice then practice again til you get it down pat.

Then there is that defense which will have similar disipline for a change

Gibbs believes in the basics and game planning an opponent we have nothing to worry about, football in DC is going to be fun again
