spanishomelette
Enlightening video... Brunell says.. He was not guaranteed anything. He said the money demonstrates their commitment, but he says he has to earn the starting job. Had positive things to say about Ramsey. Also Tim Hasselbacks new number is 8a. bubba9497
He was not guaranteed anything. He said the money demonstrates their commitment, but he says he has to earn the starting job. Much of this hoopla in the media is again speculating how PR should feel, or how the writer would feel. I am still not sure of what Sexton is truly doing. but unless PR changes his stance publicly, I believe what he stated on TV last week.
WallyG3
Great video! My favorite part was "watch out Hasselbeck, I'm coming for my number". Brunell comes off as a real likeable guy. I think this will work out great no matter which one wins the starting job.
REDALERT
That was a real class act Interview IMO, and even he stated he's up to the competitive challenge. Now! if Ramsey has a problem with that, then hit the road or prove your keep, period. Look! We all like Ramsey and understand that this kid has some potential. But, if Ramseys a real team player and wanna do what ever it takes to help this team get to the ultimate goal. Then he'll welcome Brunell and prove his capabilities on the playing field. Also, Ramsey should welcome Brunell just as Brunell stated that he's gonna look forward to working with Ramsey, playing or not. Basically, if everything's true about what ramsey wants (TRADE) stated by his agent. Then Ramsey's a stubborn selfish player that doesn't deserve to play on a Joe Gibbs team IMO. That's one thing about the Joe Gibbs teams of old. They all got along and was on board for the same ultimate goal (SUPERBOWL). That's why most of Joe Gibbs teams and players were always on the same page and played their roles, ala (MONK). We didn't have a bunch of selfish players that was only out for themselves and not the good of the team. But if we did, Joe gladly showed them the door and we carried on, with success 9 times out of 10. AGAIN, we don't need no head cases on this team, and that goes for Champ,Clamp or whom ever else. Just give me a Joe Gibbs ran team with players ready to do whatever it takes to get to the promise land and I'm happy. Just give me a team that plays in the rules and guidlines of the format presented to them and execute it properly. That's the problem with theses players today and Coaches that tolerate them. They think their gods gift to somebody's football team and their not. Thankfully, we have a coach in Joe Gibbs that's old school and won't put up with the BS. Forget Ramsey if he wants to be traded, because he's acting like a young selfish punk and we don't need him. Have you forgotten, we won 3 Superbowls with 3 moderate QB's and Ramsey's not gonna stop this show. So people, get over it, life goes on with or without him. panthro
Just to throw my $0.02 worth in. I agree that Brunell is a class act. He's going to be a valuable asset to the Skins regardless of whether he's on the field or on the sidelines.

Pete
Well well well................after watching that interview, I have an entirely new uotlook on Brunell. Most of the media reports up to now have made him out as if he wasn't willing to compete for the job. He sounds more like the guy I want on my team now. Confident, and ready to fight for his money:D Having watched him for years, it bothered me that he would take the "I start or I don't come" stance. I still have worrires about his availability when it comes to injuries, but his attitude was what really scared me. If we can protect Mark or Pat, either will florish in Gibbs system. :applause: :applause: :applause: Welcome aboard Mark.
Jagsbch
Marks confidence shines through and through... No wonder PR is so worried sick... Mark BTW is a monster in the weight room. I don't think he is going to have a problem getting his # back. The Skins have a guy who is passionate about proving that their is still some premium gas in the tank. Speaking of premium this reminds me of the good ol days.... http://www.canoe.ca/97NFLPlayoffsRound1/dec23_bru.html "DENVER (AP) -- Every day, for the first six months of this year, Denver Broncos linebacker Bill Romanowski drew inspiration for his morning workouts from one vision: a picture of his tormentor, Mark Brunell. Whether he planned to lift weights or run, Romanowski got motivated by looking at Brunell's picture, which was hanging in the weight room of Romanowski's home in San Martin, Calif...
