Reflecting on the times...

Die Hard

Recommended Posts

As I'm entering all the data into the games db... I can't help but get nostalgic at times with some of the names I grew up with.

Remember Rosenbach? Probably the best Cardinals QB ever.

How about Dave Meggett? That guy used to KILL us. He was the original "slash". Used to kill teams with that option pass.

Mark Bavaro. Probably the toughest SOB I've ever seen play the game. He defined "clutch". And one of the "good guys" of the NFL.

Keith Jackson. There was a time when he was the best receiving TE in the game.

Those were the days.

For the life of me... I've seen that game referenced SO many times... and I don't remember that game at all. Yet I'm sure I've seen it.

Can't wait to get my own copy of that game. :) I remember the Eagles being a little nasty on defense... Andre Waters comes to mind. But I don't seem to recall any particular incident.

Eric Allen was one of the best cornerbacks ever. Really underrated.

Howard Cross... the epitome run-blocking TE who always used to kill us with clutch TD catches.

Keith Byars... one of the best receiving RBs of all-time.

Mike Tomczak. I think the term "Journeyman" derived because of his career.

i was living in philly at that time, and the eagles absolutely brutalized us. we were down to our 3rd QB (b-mitch) running the wishbone.

the play i remember is after the knocked out our #2 QB, there was an ABC close-up shot, and you could see the skins trainers checking to see if they could find a pulse. a brutal loss, but we did get our revenge.
