I dont know where you people get these contract numbers from but can you try to explain to me what contract Lavar accepted like what and when he will recieve every year? someone mentioned that his signing bonus wasnt a single lumped sum or something like that... Jay Master Jay
He gave the team cap room by signing an extension. That way they have money for FA especially Champ. He didn't have to do it and we need Samuels to do the same thing.

These are Lavar's salary figures.... 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 $535K $540K $545K $2M $3.5M $3.5M $6M $7M He gave the skins cap room by back loading his contract (notice how low he figures are in 2004, 2005, and 2006). His signing bonus was $20mil and will be prorated over the life of the contract. So to answer your question yes he did sign a team friendly contract. TheDoyler23
Lavar definitly helped the team out by re-upping now. He helps himself first with the 60+ million dollar contract

Vegas-Born
I am glad that Lavar will be in Washington for a while. I think that he can be and will be a cornerstone of this D for a long time. I can't wait for him to take Maurice Clarrets head off. (I had to drop that in there.)
