goldenster95
If we're going after Garner, we might be after Hearst as well . . . Hearst is actually bigger than Garner, so that's a plus . . . but he also just turned 33 . . . 49ers | Hearst To Be Cut? - from www.KFFL.com Thu, 12 Feb 2004 12:43:05 -0800 Matt Maiocco, of the Santa Rosa Press Democrat, reports San Francisco 49ers RB Garrison Hearst is in jeopardy of being released by the team. The 49ers would gain 1.5 million in salary cap room if Hearst were let go. RB Kevan Barlow would then assume the featured back role on offense. @DCGoldPants
Man, there will be a lot of FA RB's out there now. Remember when it was just Duce and Dillion?
BORICUASKIN
VERY INTERESTING. HEARST, DILLION, GARNER ARE GOOD CHOICES & GIBBS WILL GET THE MOST OUT OF ANY OF THEM.

OVCChairman
hey, who says we need an RB?? we have canidate, no he's not the most powerful RB in the game, but we lost that guy last year. we also have carwright, who can very well be our power back...he's a strong runner that can run over defensive players. we have a running back tandem that reminds me a lot of the byner, riggs tandem. Not to mention the buges is back and maybe he can get his offensive line to open up those holes...iu say forget the RB and worry more about how we can get offensive lineman and defensive lineman....and dont forget....the cap room could help keepbailey here and i would trade him for any RB out there
Skyward72
We need a hard runner thats for sure. Trung will be gone. I like Cartwirght, I'd like to see what he can do over a couple of Preseason games. Kinda remids me of Travis Henry, but Rock holds onto the ball! citigent
with all the running back going theopen market it should help keep the price down, as fas as supply and demad , as long as some team doesnt set the bar to high and make the others feel they should get more.
