Canadian Hog Posted February 9, 2004 Share Posted February 9, 2004 Derek Smith at middle linebacker wasn't a flashy guy, but a player who went about doing his job well. He has turned into a solid player for San Fran who is strong against the run, durable, and a sound tackler.
