Sanders 83
First of all, this would involve trading Champ to Detroit, for their 6th pick, and their pick in the 3rd round as well. Then find out who NE wants, and when we establish they don't want Taylor, we trade them the 5th pick, for their 21st, 32nd, and 57th picks. Here goes: 5th- Sean Taylor S 6'3 230 Strengths: A physical freak...Has as good of combination of size, speed and athleticism as I have ever seen...Has the size and ability to play the run like a linebacker and the speed and coverage skills of a cornerback...Strong and a big hitter...Good hands and a nose for the ball...Rare talent. Weaknesses: Can improve his technique...Just has to round off some rough edges. Notes: One of the most impressive physical specimens I have seen in my years covering the draft...Based on pure talent Taylor might be the best pro prospect in collge football at any position...Athletes like this don't come along very often...Will be one of the best safeties in pro football from day one. 21st- Marquise Hill DE 6'7 290 Strengths: Great size...Good speed...Strong...Explosive and powerful...Good pass rusher. Weaknesses: Needs to refine his technique...Must master the nuances of the game and his position. Notes: Highly rated prep player...Has all the physical tools you look for...Still has a ton of upside. 32nd- Greg Jones RB 6'1 250 Strengths: Outstanding size/speed ratio...Massive back who has the power to run defenders over as well as the speed to run away from them...Great vision...A natural runner with great balance...Will fight for those tough yards after contact...Good pass blocker. Weaknesses: Blew out his knee in 2002...Needs to improve as a receiver...Fast for his size but not a blazer...Not a threat to break a long one. Notes: Likely would have been a top 10-15 overall pick in the 2003 NFL Draft but blew out his knee...Didn't look to be all the way back from the injury as a senior...Looks like a second or third rounder with the potential to move up. 41st- Marcus Tubbs DT 6'4 305 Strengths: Strong and powerful...Explosive and has a good burst...Has a nice frame...Good instincts...Athletic...Good lower body strength...Still has a lot of upside. Weaknesses: Doesn't have a lot of pass rush moves...Doesn't always go 100%...Durability? Notes: A difference maker throughout his career...Two-Gapper...Still has a high upside...Cousin of former NFL linebacker Winfred Tubbs. 57th- Ben Watson TE 6'3 255 Strengths: Very athletic...Quick and explosive...Can stretch the field vertically...Has good hands, agility and speed. Weaknesses: Doesn't always play to his potential...Not a powerful blocker and must be developed there...Can improve his route running. Notes: Transferred to Georgia from Duke...Almost entered the 2003 NFL Draft before wisely returning to school...Has upside and the potential to be great. 73rd- Joey Thomas CB 6'2 190 Strengths: Very confident player...Has the size and speed you look for...Great athletic ability. Weaknesses: Technique needs a lot of work...Level of competition is a concern...Needs to show better concentration. Notes: Originally signed with Washington but transferred before he ever played a game...A small school sleeper who has the tools to surprise. 74th- Isaac Sopolaga DT 6'3 336 Strengths: Strong...Athletic...A good run stuffer...Good size and frame...Quick...Decent pass rusher. Weaknesses: Doesn't make good use of his hands. Notes: An underrated prospect...Has the tools to move up draft boards.
BG
I think that is sick. Anyone would love that draft lineup right there, but I don't think anyone wants to part ways with a first for Champ ( I don't want to part ways with him ) and second, I don't think NE wants the #5 pick that bad. they wouldn't work out a good deal with us. they'd be more likely to trade to get in the mid round. 15-20........... Sanders 83
They could if Fitz drops that far, or if they want Winslow. Also I don't see why Detroit wouldn't want to give up their 6th pick for Champ. They do want Taylor, and could have quite the secondary with Champ and Bly. Besides, I think Bly is better suited for the #2 CB anyways. Although his contract might not say that.
