EvoSkins
I don't remember what game it was, but there was a rumor that the SKins were offering Rod Gardner and, I think, a draft pick (could be wrong) for TO. I remember the commentators on FOX brought it up during a game. Hell, when ESPN asked Ramsey if he would like to have TO on the team, he said: If we signed T.O., I'd be like, "Wow, we got a great player, a great weapon." I consider that a possibility. I didn't consider coach Gibbs a possibility. If T.O. leaves San Fran, the Redskins could certainly use him. I've told people this: It would almost be foolish for me, as a quarterback, to say I wouldn't be happy having a guy like Terrell Owens on my football team. He can make everybody around him a better player. Just imagine, a swap of TO for Gardner and a 2nd/3rd round pick? Having Coles and TO, BRILLIANT! Having the draft and free agency to address needs on the defense, BRILLIANT! Having TO not go to the Eagles, BRILLIANT! Having TO bring us one step closer to Super Bowl 39, BRILLIANT! :snore: Sorry, I was dreaming, back to reality.
Jay Master Jay
That's a wonderful dream but we cant afford TO with Bailey out there to be signed. Plus TO seems to be a cry baby that made the 49ers get rid of Jerry Rice. Let someone else have that problem child.
SkinsFanFromAsia
NO TO please....i rather have Clarrette or Dillon over TO. thats guy is a true problem child.
Ax
N-O to T-O I think we have a good GROUP of WR's. Coles is set. Coach will pick the best two of Gardner/McCants/Jacobs/Johnson/Russell/? to form the main trio, and they will be a GROUP. TO will always need to be THE guy. No Thanks. inmate running the asylum
T O wouldn't have helped very much the way Spurrier f---ed everything up. We still wouldn't have been able to get him the ball before the QB got sacked. T O would then be a free agent and we would be without Gardner and our 3rd round pick or whatever. SonnyRules
Heck No..no T.O.
TODD
Of course Terrell Owens would be excellent, but we're not the New York Yankees. There's a limit to our spending and there are alot more areas to be addressed and franchise players to sign. We'll just have to hope he doesn't go Philly or Dallas. JMac
Only problem with the trade scenario is that TO still would have been a free agent this year. Gardner still has a contract with us so the trade made no sense.
Brueck
No way to TO. He is a big play maker but doesn't play well with others. We've got Coles to make big plays. We're better off spending money on other positions now.
Hitman56
Unless TO can play Defensive end or running back, then no.
parkboy22
NO TO NO WAY>>>>>>>>He doesnt even remotely fit the Gibbs mold... the thing about this year is that we might not be very good...7-9, 8-8. But this is the year that gibbs finds out who he has and I expect us to be in the playoffs, possibly in the nfc championship next season. So, it will be interesting and damn it feels good to know that Gibbs is back....also, i recommend joe gibbs book. Its an easy read, and gives his formula for success under extreme adversity, be it football, racing, and under the clouds of finacial turmoil. Welcome home Mr. Gibbs
Dickens
T.O. is a fiery competitor. Something that's been all too rare in too many players in recent years. Gibbs had to deal with Gary Clark you don't think he could get T.O. in line? I'd love to have T.O. but I'm not sure he has as many good years left that a huge contract would require. Gotta spread out that signing bonus you know?
NavyDave
No more damm receivers. What is with you people?? Offense isnt what lost games last year. Will a wide receiver help prevent opposing offenses from making a 3rd and long?
