seanskins
I am sorry this thread is not football related but i had to get this of my chest and see what the general consesus is! Ok, so tonight a friend and I went to a local pub where we were confronted by a COMPLETE stranger who was dead set on fighting us. From the minute we walked in the door he was giving us the finger saying he wanted to kick our asses. Now me and my friend both played on a state(provincial) champoinship football team, I played LB and he played iron man football (both DT, and LT) so it wouldnt have been a walk in the park to beat us. Anyways, i have never encountered a person like this in my enitre life on this planet. This person was determined to fight us and he wouldnt leave us all night. At one point he came to our table and screamed at us and offended mostly everyone we were with! Needless to say we took care of it, but i just had to talk about it and thought it would be good to talk with my extremeskins family about it! Have any of you encountered people like this, because quite frankly i have never encountered anyone like this, EVER! I would lover to hear your thoughts! Thanks
BG
I have, in a way, experienced that type of situation. However, wehn you know you have an unfair advantage, it's best to stay on guard for the worst case scenario yet resolve the situation as QUICKLY as possible with minimal violence, so as not to alert everyone. It is possible. So with respect to your situation, I understand. Violence always sucks and it feels horrible when you ahve to resort to it, but in this case it seemed unavoidable and you did what you had to do. There is always a lesson to be learned. Jay Master Jay
Yes it happens it use to happen to me every time the Infantry and Field Artillery came in from the field. You try to be a bigger man and walk away. Let the guy or guys sobber up and not beat the sh=t out of him. If he persists you have to give him what he wants because if you dont someone else will. TheKurp
Sounds to me like the guy was on crank, or suffered from some mental disability. Not too long ago I was running alongside a 4 lane road when a truck slowed down next to me. The guy driving blew his horn and yelled "faggot". Not sure he was really referrring to me I ignored him and kept running. Well, in the space of a couple of miles this guy kept turning around and coming back to yell more obscenities at me. He was a big red-neck sort of a fellow and probably could have kicked my ass pretty good, but he never stopped and got out. I never could figure out what his problem was. Maybe a case of mistaken identity?
Kilmer17
A buddy of mine and I got jumped at a McDs my freshman year in college. Never figured out why or even who the guys were, but one of them ended up with a broken jaw and my buddy had to get a dozen stitches. I think Kurp has it right. Those people are either mentally unstable or chemically altered.

Not everybody in the Field Artillery was that way. Mostly just the gun bunnies and they're just frustrated because all they know how to do is pull a lanyard. Ghost of
As Lonzo from Training Day says, "Shoulda shot 'em!" I can't think of anything more scary than fighting someone, especially a gang of men that you don't know. I mean, I'd never go ALL The way(in terms of savagery) if I were in an emotional argument/fight with a friend or even good acquaintance. But a group of strangers that will probably kick your head until you suffer permanent brain damage? KILL THEM. Put your man down, 'cuz he'd do the same to you. I'm not big enough, frankly, to take on a PCP or alky raging 220 lb guy(I'm only 185) So I need to at least go Ray Lewis on his behind if not Charles Bronson. But yeah, there are jackholes like that sometimes. Don't forget though, in some cases people are intent on doing harm to you because they are psychopaths or robbers or some kind of sadist. In that case bring your A-Lethal game to the conflict because it's them or you.
PCS
First of all, this is Tailgate. It's a free for all down here, ( as you can tell by the er......disposable furniture. ), so no apologies necessary. As for the bad people, well, lot's of them and lot's of reasons. Between my times living in Norfolk, living right off Duke Street back in the early 80's, to my time in the service,(worked in a hospital even), to spending alot of time being a bouncer/bartender, seen lot's of them. Too damn many of them. Some are that way for exactly the reasons given. Chemically imbalanced due to the ingestion of recreational pharmaceuticals or just plain imbalanced. Could be they were already pissed before drinking. Makes for a mean drunk. Think a much nastier version of yourself when/if you've had that " I just want to get $%^$^%%# drunk tonight damnit!!!" attitude going. some basically suffer from the fact that they just can't handle their booze. The old "I've had 5 drinks and I am now 6'8'' " thing. I've had fellows, ( on a few rare occassions women), walk into the door and from that moment knew **** was going to fly sooner rather than later. Came in mad and the booze and whatever was just going to make things worse. Point being is that no matter what, you pracitced patience and restraint before settling things. Nothing to feel bad about there. Hell, more than I would have demonstrated I think. Sometimes, and this is simply the harsh reality of things, we have no other choice. "What is the attraction of cocaine?" "Well, it enhances your personality" "Yeah. Well what if you're an *******?" Bill Cosby Himself

freakofthesouth
I would've let him kick my ass...in a defenseless, helpless kind of way... then had him arrested... then sued him for assault and battery... then been awarded $20,000 + for punitive compensation, and the like... then I would buy a new car... then drive to his house, and honk as you go by in your new car! Then say, 'thanks for the car, jack*ss!' That's worse than any a$$ kicking you could ever dish out. Know your rights as an american!
Prosperity
One time I went to a McDonalds and there was a group of black guys 5-6 and while I was walking in the restaurant they called me cracker and asked what I was looking at, when I got my order and left the McDonald they were still there and this time they put ice cubes all over the ground to try to make me slip and fall down, that particular thing pissed me off, I was about to fight all of them but decided against it because I was unarmed and I would get my ass kicked. I decided to just leave and hold my temper. You never know when crazy people pop up, but there are plenty of them in the world.
freakofthesouth
Equality... I would have gone in the McDs...and got some ice cream or something to make it look like you're foaming at the mouth... Then I would've ran out of the store, foaming at the mouth, and ripping my shirt off. Nothing's scarier than a crazy-a$$ cracker. And...if it's any consolation... If these poeple are such friggin losers that they have to hang out in a McD's parking lot and pick fights w/ people...well, that should make you feel good about yourself, anyway. Next time, just tell them to get a job, and contribute to society. Maybe you could've handed them some McDs applications as you walked out. dchogs
a friend and i were walking a friend of our back to her apartment in philly. my friend and i were about 1 sip away from blackout :40oz: , but we figured there'd be safety in numbers at least. we turn a corner and see about 5-6 fellas sitting on their stoop. the "ringleader" got up and said "did i see you at Pitchers (the bar we were just at)?" i told him i was there but didn't remember him. it wasn't all the confrontational at all, so i turned to continue walking and he sucker punched me. two guys jumped my friend, and i had three guys on me. my friend got a broken nose from a kick to the face. i just had some bruises. i remember connecting a couple of times, but no idea how much damage i did. turns out, my best friend got in a fight with them three days before and gave his crew an ass kicking. i wasn't there, but i have to assume that he thought i was my buddy. it was definately a bit scary that these complete strangers jumped us like that, but then again, it was philly. Dexter's Better
IN college at this party -- there was this local yokal from Milwaukee... he was on something (possibly PCP).. he started a fight with 6 people.. I am not kidding. I was sober and watched this kid punch the first guy in the face and break his nose.. The the 5 others started POUNDING on this guy -- he wouldn't go down and just kept throwing haymakers.... He dropped 4 people before he was restrained and thrown outside. When he got outside he took off all his clothes except his shoes and boxers and grabbed his belt and proceed to swing that belt like he was indiana jones. -- When it was all said and done this kid has messed up 4 BIG guys... and he was barely bleeding.... OrangeSkin
I was going to see a movie and the spots in the parking lot were ridiculousy small. It was kind of tough to fit my Expedition in between two cars who were almost over the line on both sides. So I attempt to pull in and I'm too close to the car on my left side so I back up to get a better angle. When I'm backing up, I see the owner of the car to my left standing there waiting for me to pull in. After a couple attempts I am finally sufficiently in the spot and I get out of the car. The guy had been waiting for all of 25 seconds while I parked and he felt the need to say, "Think you could get a little tighter there?" in an extremely obnoxious tone of voice. I said, "I don't think so" relatively cheerily and then started walking away. I turned around and said "sorry about that" after I was about 15 feet away, fully expecting him to say it was no problem. Instead he's just standing there shaking his head and just generally patterning his body language in a way that said,"I'm going to be an ******* because you made me wait outside for 25 more seconds than I wanted to." After the movie I come out and find a nice dent in my door, presumably where the dickweed took the liberty to slam his door into my car. Why do some people have to be like that? He could've had the courtesy to wait less than half a frickin' minute while I tried to fit my huge SUV into a spot that could barely hold a tricycle all the while trying to avoid putting a huge dent into his $hitty ass 1986 Grand Am. I wanted to go off on him when he was so rude to me before the movie, but I wanted to hunt him down and scalp him when I found that he had purposely damaged my car. The world would be a much better place if there weren't dickweeds like that around every corner. A little courtesy goes a long way.
