New
I caught the tale end of sportingnews radio today and thought I heard Ted Washington is a FA. Can anyone confirm or deny that. If he is, I think we just solved our defensive line ailments.

I believe he is an UFA but he is also getting "long in the tooth" and would probably be just a stop-gap,1 to 2 year player. I'd pass on him. Surely there's some younger DT talent out there..... New
He surely cant be any older than our "best" pass rusher! Bruuuuuuce YOU SUCK! Couldnt hear the audio last night, watched the game in a bar, but Big Ted appeared to me an immovable object, consistently taking on double teams and holding his ground (that against a very good O-line). He looked better than two of anybody we got!
Skins26
Yes he is, AND I'LL TAKE HIM!!!! There is no younger DT talent out there, we need to stop looking for all these young guys all the time, at some point we just need to realize that we do need a veteran somewhere in there. Everyone wants some young stud DT, but the only one out there would be Tommy Harris and nobody really wants to draft him! Ted Washington stuffed the run for NE this year, and he did it alone pretty much. Thats all we really need someone to swallow up the blockers and let our LB's flow free. Urlacher had a monster season behind Washington! Trotter could as well! This would be the best pickup out there! I'd love it.
New
His name doesnt hurt either! I'm sure Danny could market that into some new t-shirts to sell. Seriously though, he was a stud last night, in the greatest show on earth.
method man
he is a 19 plays a game player at this point. i would rather get keith traylor who is a little younger. which ever one is cheaper to play NT and sign robaire smith to be the 3-technique guy. Samuels
I think Washington should get a serious look.I also think that Traylor and Adams will also.Greg Blanche was the d-cordinator in Chi-town with Traylor and Washington who were a tough duo. NoCalMike
Sign him and bring in Daryl Gardner......
cdn_PACK
For about 20 plays a game, I'm not quite sure Big Ted is worthwhile to the Pats. That being said, with guys like Ty Warren and Dan Klecko on the depth chart, and the potential to pick another big man with 4 picks in the first 2 rounds......is Ted even necessary at this point?
