@DCGoldPants
lets hear em.....and its ok to pick Jake even though they lost. He carried his team in the 2nd half.

Hogwash
Delhomme is my MVP...he was totally masterful. The Pats Secondary is my goat, esp. Poole and Law, they got WORKED! They won, but they almost cost NE the game
SonnyJ
The QBs stole the show. Hard to really think of a goat - Vinateri until his game-winning FG would have been close. Ricky Manning got stripped naked, but not a goat in the pure sense of the word.
@DCGoldPants
ok, I'm going with Jake the Snake as Hero....(even though I can totally see why Brady is MVP).......and Stephen Davis is the goat because minus 1 giant run that gave them a TD....he did nothing. Foster was a better options.
Hogwash
After Law got his ass worked, i think that should end the debate about whether he's better than Bailey.
Hogwash
Foster's run sparked images of Riggo's run to beat the Phins in 83...
The Slammer
Hero: Delhomme/Brady Goat: Both secondaries. After the first quarter, a pretty poor showing indeed.
NavyDave
S Davis was the primary focus of the patriots defense and since the kittie kats didnt involve him enough in the passing attack he was at best a decoy. I say both QBs are MVP and fox's PAT decisions make him the goat with casey a close 2nd
Joey T
Easy: MVP - Brady Goat- NE 'PREVENT' defense for letting Carolina getting too close.
bubba9497
MVP- Brady (or the Offensive line) Goat- John Fox, going for two, hurt momentum, and they would have had the lead instead of a tie., and the play calling on the TD, left too much time on the clock, defensive play calling gave the Pats wr too much room. grading CBS: Simms & Gumbel- B+, Pre- Game D-, Production Gimmicks- D, Halftime F--
@DCGoldPants
actually, I thought Simms was C- at best.

Jimbo
MVP: Brady Goat: (TIE) Vinatieri for missing a 31 yard FG and the refs for not calling that play a fumble which would have resulted in a TD for the Pats. Sorry but as exciting as the game was, it should not have come down to Kasey kicking it out of bounds or Fox going for two.
Skins26
MVP: Deshaun Foster- his run sparked everything, if he was given a chance earlier he would have destroyed this game and taken hom the MVP trophy, its just remarkable what talent that kid has. Goat: Stephen Davis, did a really bad job in my opinion, missed a few blitz pickups, missed a few holes, didnt break many tackles, and kept the ball out of Deshaun's hands. laurent
MVP: Brady Goat: John Fox, going for two with over a quarter left to play was unecessary and ultimately cost them a chance to take it into overtime.
Hersh
MVP: Brady isn't getting enough credit from some of the haters. He put the ball on the money and made plays. Goat: Kasay....How is Davis a goat?? He had little running room all game. It's too easy to second guess Fox. No one predicted such a high scoring game. NVskinsfan
Hero: Vinatieri for making the 3rd kick Goat: Kasey for kicking the ball out of bounds @ the end of the game to give NE great field position!
SonnyJ
I saw no problem with Fox going for two when he did. There were only about 12 minutes left to play. His offense, to that point, had really only had two drives all game. It wasn't unrealistic of him to expect that the most he could expect is one more. As it turned out, going for one would have been the wise move. But, that's purely hindsight. Something Fox didn't have the benefit of at the time. I think he played it correctly. Raub
How do you kick a ball out of bounds with a minute left? Inexcusable. Kasay definitely the goat in this one.
lucky*13
Foster? please he touched the ball what three times. Other than the QBs ill go with a couple of D guys Mike Vrable: 2 sacks forced fumle, many tackles and a TD for the panthers, Dan Morgan I swear the guy had like 30 tackles,he seemed to be in every play. thinker
GOATS: Carolina coaching: Fox #1 calling timeout with 1:48 left with 1st down on Ne 15. Let the clock roll off 30 more seconds, you'll still have plenty of time to get off 4 plays for the td with 3 t.o.'s. Carolina scores quickly giving NE too much time to come back for the fg. Fox #2 - telling Kasay to kick to the side instead of down the middle. NE hadn't shown much danger of a long return. Starting at the 40 - NE only needs 30 yards for a makable fg. And now with 30-40 seconds more time.
