Joey T
This one sure got my juices going. On one hand I wanted to see SD do good, however I want to see TB and TL(UM) do well. I the that even if NE kicker Venatierie(sp) had made even one his short attempts, this would be a moot point. AV Kick = WIN!!!
Golgo-13
Wow. You can't help but feel for the Panthers for coming so close. I would never have thought it at the beginning of the year. Weird to think that I was there the last time the Pats lost and it was to the 'Skins.

toothdoc
Well I'm a little biasis but the Rams/Titans SB is the best Non Redskins SB to me. I sat on the Titans' side at the 30 yard line. Atlanta was frozen but the Dome was rock'n. Great time.

CBMGreatOne
John Fox cost his team the game by going for 2 so early. One decision was a three point swing; Carolina loses two XPTs and New England gets a conversion when otherwise they would have settled for an XPT. This game should be in overtime right now, but for that decision, which Phil Simms kept emphasizing as a point which could not be overstated. Agreed though, objectively the best Super Bowl I've seen, outside of 17, 22, and 26 of course.

THE GAME WAS TIED UP!!! The point is that the panthers gave up 40 yards to the Patriots with 1:08 left. Thats the kicker fault.
CBMGreatOne
No, if you'll look deeper and review the events, then you'll see that my point should not be dismissed. Yes, Kasay is a huge goat here too, as he kicked the ball out of bounds. The point that I'm making is that Carolina's final TD should have been to go ahead by three, not to tie. You can disagree with me if you like, but my statement is EMPIRICALLY true. So you'd be wrong

Guest SkinsHokie Fan
That was absolutley great and enjoyable to watch. Never knew who would take control, had the drama, had effort, and it was generally a clean game. Lots of fun to watch the Panthers make it a game and come so close. Couldn't get that final stop they needed
BayouBrave86
Great game no doubt! Awful first quarter though. Rodney Harrison getting injured on that last Panther's drive was huge though, because right after he went out the Panthers attacked the middle of the field with ease. Hell yeah it was better than the Rams-Titans...im sorry but the Rams-Titans game was only good for about 15 minutes..and that was the entire 4th quarter..that game is so over-rated. bubba9497
the Panthers made only two mistakes, going for 2 when they didn't need to, and leaving too much time on the clock when they scored. NE kick returners has been a big play guy all year, so the out of bounds kick wasn't as bad as many want to think, because Bethel Johnson could have also moved even closer or scored a TD any ways. Jimbo
C'mon guys. Unfortunately, costly mistakes and blown calls are part of the game. Vinatieri missing two FG's, Brady's INT in the endzone, Delhomme's fumble, Fox's going for two twice and the inability to convert and the referee not calling the fumble that would have been a Pat's TD are each small parts of the game. Individually, they all seem like they could have cost either team the game. Collectively, they are all just part of the great game of football. It is close to impossible to play a perfect game. Would-be and should-be goats and heroes are partially what created these boards in the first place. Let's not totally let that get in the way of a Super Bowl that lived up to it's hype. We're lucky the Patriots, Rams, Panthers and Titans have given us something worth watching three of the past five years.
Ghost of
Whoever said the Titans Rams doesn't really remember the game. It was 9-0 AT HALFTIME. It was 16-0 Rams in the third. You guys are definitely just remembering the last 15-20 minutes or so. ANd the thing is, in this game both teams had the lead late. NOt just one team trying to come back.
