Samuels
Who are some of the guys who you think will rise and fall come workouts, mine. Highrisers Kevin Jones RB-Ran a 10.1 100 in HS and should rip off atleast a low 4.3. He also is very strong in the weight room and is very cut up.He will be a top 6 lock after workouts and be the talk of Mel Kiper. Vince Wilfork Dt- Will show impressive weight room strenght and run a fast 40 for a 350lber.Scouts will be very impressed with his huge tree trunks has legs.If he can get to around 330lbs he'll be a top pick. Kellen Winslow2 Te-Will show bigtime speed probably a high 4.4 at 6-5 245lbs.He also should put up atleast 20 reps at 225lbs but the Wr speed will have his draft stock flying high a top 8 lock. Tommie Harris Dt-It has been said he runs a 4.6 40 if he does that at atleast 285lbs and shows the weight room strenght that i've read he has he'll be a top 10 lock. Randy Starks DE-DT-Starks is a workout warrior in the weight room with like 750lbs squats,575lbs bench. If he comes in at 300lbs and runs under a 4.9 40 he'll be the 1st D-lineman selected unless Wilfork loses 15-20lbs. notables Greg Jones,Darnell Dockett Ok workouts Sean Taylor FS-I think Taylor will run great 40 probably a low 4.4 but will come in under his listed 6-3 230lbs probably 6-1 215lbs. I don't think he'll do more then 15 reps at 225lbs slightly hurting his stock. His just has that lanky frame and has some noodle arms and I don't think he'll post big numbers.Still a great player and potential pick at #5 defintely a top 8 lock. Kenechi Udeze De-I think Udeze will come in around 280lbs and run an ok 40 probably around a 4.85. He'll show good strenght and put up 25-30 reps at 225lbs.Udeze will still be a top 12 lock.If he can run anything faster then a 4.7 40 or just show crazy strenght like 40 reps at 225lbs he'll be a top 7 lock. droppers Shawn Andrews RT-He is said to be near 400lbs and was suppose to be a top 10 pick if thats true he'll fall.He will also run a very sluggish 40. Roy Williams Wr-Still possibly a top 10 pick but he'll run slower then the said 4.4 40 and won't be a true 6-5 closer to 6-3. Any others you guys have pegged that the workouts will make or break. inmate running the asylum
Greg Jones will probably run about a 4.5, which is pretty fast for a guy who weighs 250 lbs. This plus his showing at the Senior Bowl will cause him to rise up the board and be drafted in the 20-30 range of the 1st round.
Samuels
Inmate,Before his knee injury that Noles had him clocked at a 4.38 40 defintely a fast track.Jones takes a few steps to get going but can run it would'nt surprise me to see him run a 4.4 40. Kevin Jones his who will fly up the charts he has better strenght then most of the bigger backs including S.Jackson and will make scouts mouth drop with his 40. I see him getting looks from #2 overall on down and he defintely won't go lower then #6.
Skins26
I dont think Taylor has noodle arms, I think they are quite strong, I think his arms are just so abnormally long it appears he has noodle arms. I think he'll put up better number than that. But I doubt most of these big name guys like Taylor will be doing many of these workouts, they can only hurt themselves. I however do hope Taylor's stock drops, that way it will ensure that the Giants wont take him with the 4th pick, leaving him to us.
Skins26
Oh and to add another guy I think is going to rise, I'm going to have to say Florida DE Bob McCray. He is a huge guy, has the body type of Jevon Kearse. I believe he's like 6-6 260. And it was said during his bowl game that he benched over 600 lbs. So I think he will rise, a lot. AJWatson3
Michael Boulware will impress like Boss Bailey did last year. More than anyone he will benefit. others who i think will increase their draft stock: Michael Clayton, WR LSU Chris Gamble, CB OHSt Steven Jackson, RB ORSt Ben Roethlisberger, QB MiaOH Vince Wilfork, DT MIA Greg Jones, RB FLSt Keyaron Fox, LB GT Mewelde Moore, RB Tulane Bobby Blizzard, TE UNC Julius Jones, RB ND Issac Hilton, DE Hampton Josh Buhl, OLB/S KSt.... many more..... hurt draft stock: Shawn Andrews, OT ARK Rashaun Woods, WR OKSt Michael Turner, RB NIll Ernest Wilford, WR VT Chris Perry, RB Mich i actually wonder how many of these guys will go to the combine and wait for their private workouts. i am waiting for the day that the NFL makes it a mandatory requirement that to enter the draft you have to participate in the combine, and you can hold a private workout if you want, but later. Samuels
Maybe it is because Taylors arms are so long but that appear very small especially his biceps look like nothing.I also saw a UM pic with his shirt off working out and even his chest looked abnormally small. I honestly will be very very surprised if he can do more then 15-17 reps at 225lbs. My arms and chest are way bigger then Taylors and I can barely do 20 reps. Samuels
For example the pic I saw of KJ on someones avator working out he looked like way bigger and cut up then Taylor and he is smallish weight wise. Taylor is a top 8 lock even he does 10 reps he'll be drafted for speed and his ability to be a great centerfielder. KJ will the 1 that rises the most he'll show great strenght and speed he'll get a serious look from us if we don't get a Staley or Dillion watch and see. He also has been known to run people over ask the Cal Lb combine that with the same knocks Thomlison had about running up the gut and being able to catch.I think he proves doubters wrong just like LaDainian. Do I want him at #5 no.I like Winslow,Taylor,Wilfork just has much and would rather trade back to around 8-10 picking up another 2nd and still getting 1 of those 4.
