inmate running the asylum
No Trading Offers for Dillon... Yet -- from FFMastermind.com The official website of the Cincinnati Bengals reports on Monday, Bengals HC Marvin Lewis quashed one here at the Senior Bowl when he said the Bengals don't have a trade offer for RB Corey Dillon. Not from Dallas. Not from Washington. Not, it seems, from anywhere. Yet. He did indicate a timetable, saying such trades are most likely going to happen before the April 24-25 Draft. Lewis said the current Dillon-to-Dallas bolt is just as baseless as the cybershot back in October, which, in part, ignited Dillon's ire. "Mike (Brown) didn't talk to 'em and I didn't talk him 'em, so it's about like where it was in the fall," Lewis said. "Chances are things move before the draft. Anytime you have a veteran player, a lot of it is going to occur before, but you never know."

TODD
Why is everyone against CDill? Am I the only one that expects a re-focused back in a brand new atmosphere, ready to undoubtedly regain his '02 form. Nothing has changed with this guy, really. He is an IMPACT back. The Consigliere
He's too much of a boom/bust type of player to me. Playing fantasy football really actually helped in evaluating him, as I've been evaluating his performance every offseason since he was a rookie, and by and large, he is far too inconsistent to really be worth a top draft pick. Of course this could be traced backed to the Bengals just outright sucking, it's not like he's had a passing game and a credible line and offense in general to give him space to work with. As for the attitude issues, this year's issues don't bother me, what bothers me are the rumors of criminal activity and gang affiliations he had before college. Who could blame him for finally having enough of Cincy? He suffered through six straight horse ---- years in Cincy, Takeo wasn't exactly keen on coming back after all, and nobodies ripping him for that. If he can be had for a low pick, third round or lower, I'm interested, but no way am I interested in trading away a first rounder or our second rounder for him. scottb
Is it against the rules for teams to openly discuss trades before the start of the NFL trading period, March 3? If so, that would explain this and future denials.

How can you say a guy is a boom or bust type player, when he has gained 1100 yards or more every season except last year? The guy has HOF stats. Geez. As far as his gang affiliations go.... even if that were true.... the guy is now 30 and that was a decade ago. If we could get a HOF runner for no more then a 3rd round pick, it would buy us 2 to 3 years time and would be a steal. Corey Dillon I remember a RB named Terry Allen who was close to 30 and came to Washington, who had two reconstructed knees and everyone said was washed up, and he was damn good for about 3 years.
Newera
Maybe Marvin will have an alligence to the Skins since we did pay him so much money for his one year. Of course, if we decide to trade for Dillon. Also, depending if each offer is close to equal.

Jimmythehair
On the field he is very good. If he had not start to ***** when he was no longer the only one talked about it would not even be a question.
NavyDave
Tude problem and the bengals found an adequate replacement in later rounds which we can do if needed. I'm of the believe that a commitment to turning the o line into a smashmouth type and a healthy Betts, Rock and Sultan Mac given an opportunity may eliminate the perceived weakness.
