laurent
Yeah, I'm sure Greg Jones very much like our own LaVar and numerous other chiseled athletes are juicing...
GB81
He must workout... Looks like he's been dipping into David Boston's big bag o' steroids.
Ghost of
I don't think Jones is on any kind of steroid plan---he's been big since he came in, if I'm not mistaken. It'd have been hard not to show some signs of steroid use if he's been using since HS. Charles Haley was another guy who was built and didn't work out(except push-ups and situps and stuff) Sadly, most of us are not similarly blessed. Funkyalligator
This is the running back we want....note in addition to being built like a brick sh*t house he weighs 251 pounds and is fast....hmmmm....sound like Jamal Lewis!!!!
KingGibbs
"Charles Haley was another guy who was built and didn't work out(except push-ups and situps and stuff)" Wasn't it Herschel Walker and not Haley?
Ghost of
I think people naturally get a little weird with this kind of thing because there's an element of voyeurism involved. It's not a sexual thing, so it's not gay, it's more of an admiration and awe. I want to be built(maybe not to THAT level) like a Greek god, I don't want to have sex with him. But it's hard for people to not start talking about homoerotic undertones.

Old Glory
Sorry. I don't think he's that fast. Doesn anybody have a time on this guy?
Ghost of
KingGibbs Well, Herschel did the 1000 situps and 1000 pushups thing, but I'm just saying that haley was another one who got big by being born that way, rather than working out. Ghost of
OG He's been timed at 4.5, but who knows what the combine will be. I think his straight-line speed isn't the issue but his agility and burst through the hole. IN his soph or junior year he was very very good. It was his comeback from the ACL that made him look pretty slow and less agile. IF he can come back to his pre-injury form, he could have a real impact. Symbol
If he were on my team, high school mind you, I'd have him tested immidiately, and then the praying that he's clean begins.
The Full Monty
Whats his draft value? Mid/late 1st rounder? or 2nd rounder?
Chopper Dave
Originally posted by MAPTASTIC Jebus! My first impression, too. That is one big mofo. And yeah, I heard he runs like a 4.45 or something. And before the knee injury (and he showed it late this season, too), he could make some wicked cuts. I say we trade down, get an extra second rounder, take Udeze, take a TE/S/DT/Whatever, and then take Jones. Sounds like a plan.
poidog22
Think they're projecting him as a late first-early second rounder, of course that's w/o him going to the combine. Hell, just ask Joomba, local draft guy.

Funkyalligator
He was time at 4.5 in high school(and bench pressed 385) and I'm sure with the way college training is set up he is faster now...remember this will be his second year back from an acl tear...hmmmm sounds like jamal .....but he weighs 10 more pounds than jamal. Perfect for joe gibs type team also he has 9" 3/4 hands which means he has great hands for catching balls(footballs...you pervs)
ncSKIN
From the Senior Bowl:5. Greg Jones - If this guy doesn't pan out as a football player than I think he could become a pro bodybuilder. In my travels in NFL locker rooms I have always maintained that Tony Gonzalez had the best athletic physique I have ever seen (just an observation....no homosexual inuendos please). That was put to rest today when I saw Greg Jones take off his pads. It was obvious that this was planned and he wanted to show off but when you are built like that who wouldn't. He is a god damn monster! It is hard to believe that this guy is 250 pounds. I wish they would have body fat measurements at the weigh-in's because he has to be at like 3%. Jones had the best runs of the day, Cedric Cobbs had the most work but Jones had the best runs bar none.
Neophyte
Remember that Willis MacGahee was projected as a mid to late round guy last year after blowing a knee out in his Bowl game only to have the Bills come along and fly in the face of all the wisdom of the day to pick him in the first round. They knew Willis would be out a year at that point and still dropped a 1st rounder on him. All those thinking Jones will be there in the second round may be really surprised come the 33rd pick on April 24th... Just a thought.
