Gray had been under consideration for several jobs in the NFL before ultimately deciding to stay in Buffalo. Brown has talked to at least three potential candidates to replace Carl Reese as defensive coordinator, other than Gray, according to one source close to the Texas football program. Brown has said he won’t name a new defensive coordinator until after Feb. 4, when recruits can sign national letters of intent.
