Utah
While I love dogs, I can never look at a bulldog without thinking that they look like they have been hit in the face with a shovel. Congrats and enjoy. Dogs are worth every penny spent on them.
skinsfanjoe
I want an English Bulldog so bad but those are one exspensive breed of dogs. The one's that are for sale in my area range from 1200 to 1500 dollars. I just can't justify spending that much money on a pooch when I already have three crumb snatchers at home. :

Heavy Jumbo
Great looking pup, jbooma. I'd like to get a Belgian Malinois someday. My Mom breeds Boston Terriers, if anyone's interested.

gbear
Heavy Jumbo, I've got two boston terrier muts from a rescue league. We got one at 2 and one is just a pup. Any idea if they typically have trouble with UTIs? Our little pup is mixed with a beagle. She's smart as all get out. We put bells on the door, and she rings them when she needs to go out. That being said, she's five months old and has already had two UTIs. When she's on antibiotics, we have no accidents for a few weeks. Bostons are great. TheKurp
My youngest golden never resists an opportunity to stick her nose in a woman's crotch. I guess Boss won't have that problem. Couldn't resist. Cute dog none-the-less.

Since my mom breeds them, we have a bunch. We keep them all inside and put them out in a large run a few times a day. I have one to keep my feet warm at night, Skittles. He's a cool little dog. Whenever he wants attention, he'll put his front paws on my legs and then squat. I don't have any pictures of him though.
redman
Boss is awesome. As many here know, I got a German Shepherd puppy last March - she's now 80 lbs and thinks she owns the place. As Utah said, dogs are worth every penny. It's funny that you got a bulldog because I'm working on my wife to get Molly a companion. This is no small doing because my wife was very tentative about getting any dog, much less a big GSD to begin with, and even though she absolutely adores Molly, a 2nd dog is too much . . . for now. Anyway, we saw a picture of a bulldog in an interior decorating mag that she had. The bulldog was lounging in an overstuffed leather chair, with an elbow on the arm, and the caption referred to him as "Walter". We thought it was hilarious. Enjoy your pup, and remember the saying, "I aspire one day to be the person my dog thinks I am."
Drakkhim
I love dogs, especially, big dogs that give out the big "WOOF," not the little ones that, "Yip!" I own two cats, though, as I don't have space for a dog. My cats are like my children, and I love them very much.
TheKurp
I love cats too. If it weren't for cats I wouldn't know how fast my dogs are. Rest assured though Drakkhim, it's all about the chase. There's little doubt in my mind that if a cat had the mind to, it could whip the $hit out of both of my dogs combined.

Duke
Congrats, JB. If i'm about to have a dog, I'd get either Bulldog or German Shepperd. My wife had a GS when she was in Thailand, she was so cute and gentle (uhhhhh...I mean the dog ).
