Per O'Keefe Media, NFL Commanders VP of Content Labels Black Commanders Players "Homophobic" and NFL Players "Dumb As All Hell," Calls Fans "High School Educated Alcoholics"

During an undercover date with an @OKeefeMedia journalist, Rael Enteen ( @RaelEnteen), Vice President of Content for the NFL’s Washington Commanders, formerly the Redskins, is caught on hidden camera stating, “Most of the NFL fans I would say, are high school educated alcoholics” likening them to “mouth breathers.” Enteen goes on to characterize NFL fans as “violent,” saying “there’s fights in the stands all the time.” When asked to describe the Commanders players, Enteen says, “a big chunk is very low-income African-Americans that comes from a community that is inherently very homophobic.” He further explains, “I love hip-hop, hip-hop is very homophobic. It’s a cultural thing that I hope gets better.” Enteen also criticizes the NFL's progressive initiatives as “performative,” stating that their “[NFL] social justice efforts are a performance for the sake of public perception.” When asked about the NFL’s commitment to Black Lives Matter, Pride, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, he bluntly replies, “...it's to make as much money as possible.” Enteen further denounces NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell (@nflcommish) as a “50 million dollar puppet” controlled by the owners. Enteen proceeds to accuse Jerry Jones, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, whom he claims “really runs the NFL,” of harboring deep-seated biases, saying, “I think he hates gay people and black people.”

Keep in mind all of the answers were edited to remove leading questions and context.

But in fairness, the response about fans in the stands causing fights being high school educated alcoholics is 100% fair. Also the cultural commentary about homophobic players, also pretty fair. Also the Goodell takedown was hilarious and spot on. Give the guy a raise.

I thought I was crazy, but I think most of what he said is pretty damn accurate, minus most fans being violent alcoholics, which I don't think is true. I'm not a fan of hip-hop, and don't listen to it, so I can't really chime in there.

He's got the NFL's superficial diversity program, and Jerry Jones, down pat, however.

If the "reporter" took this video in Maryland, there's a chance that she violated the anti-wiretapping law by publishing it.  Maryland generally requires the consent of all parties to the communication.

Edit: Looks like D.C. and Virginia are one party consent jurisdictions.

I don't understand the target, like why go after this guy in particular? To try and show some double-standard within the organization now that the name change has been back in the news? What's the point here?

In any case, O'Keefe is a purveyor of angertainment, nothing more. He certainly doesn't do journalism, he's a mercenary BS tactician who should never be given the benefit of the doubt.

But I'm not saying this guy is innocent of what he's apparently saying (sounds like he indeed believes it) but this whole thing is mid af (and O'Keefe is usually more theatrical, at least then his stunts are entertaining).

I'll let the team do their investigation and I don't believe anyone will miss him if he's jettisoned.

Don't see anything fireable in what he said  *shurgs*

Did he explain this though -

Quote

When asked to describe the Commanders players, Enteen says, “a big chunk is very low-income African-Americans...."

Making a mil+ a year is low income??

He was demeaning to players and fans in several ways and he's the vice president of content.

That's a fireable offense.

As to the second part.

I believe he was referring to their background and not their current situation.

I noticed too that the video is heavily cut up and edited, as you'd expect from Okeefe.

And I'm not a high-school educated alcoholic, but I often act like one, so I'm kind of on board with his view of fans.

To be fair... a former groundskeeper (as a teen) who was around before Snyder and during Snyder told my father several years ago that Jeff George was probably the dumbest human being he had ever met... so I guess anything is possible... 🤣

I don't think even Jeff George would disagree with that...

Huh? Whether you believe he was “right” or not about any of this stuff (which is Tailgate territory) it is absolutely unprofessional to be caught saying it. You’re done when that happens. To be on tape talking about the players in your own locker room, you can’t come back from that, ever, period. Never mind what he was caught saying about the fans.

One of the most obviously fireable people I’ve ever seen exposed like this, again regardless of what you feel about the content of what he said. If you don’t get that I’d be fascinated to know what field you work in lol.

He’s obviously talking about peoples’ upbringing, not their current state of affairs. Again, separate from the content of what he’s saying, I’m just explaining something you misinterpreted.

**** that "reporter" who ruined this guy's life for no discernible reason

Maybe it’s unethical but this VP still obviously doesn’t deserve his position. The guy obviously sucks and doesn’t belong in the building, I’d rather know than not know. He had a cushy gig and trashed it by being a dumbass scumbag on his high horse. Good luck on the job market, bozo 🫡

It doesn’t matter if he’s right about any of it (and some of it he certainly is, especially the Goodell, performative social justice stuff, etc.) He’s too stupid to deserve his job and revealed a resentful, spiteful streak towards people who work in the same building as him. That’s unsalvageable. And of course he’s a Snyder/Wright guy. He’ll be gone fast, but to avoid also being on the wrong side of a wrongful firing suit the team will investigate for a while and wait for more to come out.

I think both parties here are scummy. The "undercover" nonsense along with the idiot running his mouth.

Also, I don't feel sorry for him because this obviously isn't the first time he ran his yapping hole, I don't think they randomly targeted him.

Both can kick every rock on planet earth.
