A good rain greatly benefits us.

 

We were gonna run the stuffing outta the ball anyway so the impact there is minimal. Rain is gonna slow down whatever passing attack ATL was gonna bring to the table and minimize London's potential in a match where we are sanz St. J. That is huge.

 

Rain is the great equalizer here, as now both O's will be on the same playing field in terms of passing. That means everything will be kept in front of both D lines, and for us that is the strength of our team.

 

This is shaping up quite nicely.

 

I do agree w/ the sentiment of Chase sitting out a rain game tho.

I admit I haven't watched the Falcons this season to form my own opinion but i'd say listening to Logan Paulsen and a Falcon reporter, its the Falcons that have the better run game and in turn it might help them more than it helps us.  They've struggled to throw the ball.   But the Falcons have been running the ball succesfully, old school style with big power backs, a full back to lead the way, 2-3 tight end sets and have done really well with it.

 

We have a good run defense.  Paulsen who knows this team though thinks this running game will present a real challenge to it, more so than previous opponents, we will find out soon enough

I went to a falcons game living in Atlanta see a bit of them.  I would offer two things - one, look at home and away run game.  Huge difference. Two, I took this pick part way through the first q against the panthers. 
 

 

they may be able to run have almost nothing in the passing game. 
 

yes this turned into the 37-34 OT win by Atl but 37 combined it’s were scored in a very sloppy 4th q and OT.   
 

also panthers beat Atl 2 weeks later for one of their 3 victories.  
 

If this team is legitimate they should beat Atl easily like they did Houston.
 

That’s  why they probably lose in an ugly game. Or was news alone of Dan selling the team enough to remove the curse?   Hmmmm!!!

Hope they keep chase on the sideline.  No reason to start him on that field in this weather against Atl.

Digesting Atlanta, they are really good at running the ball, better at it than this team and by a full peg.  the passing game is as inept as ours but actually maybe worse.  

 

The X factor thereby would be is this run defense for real?  Because even if Atlanta is better at running the ball, this is the better run stopping defense.

Stopping their run game will be the key factor in trying to win this game.

We have currently played 6 of the top 11 rush teams in I think 7 of our games. It's not like our guys haven't been playing good rushing teams, but even with that they are still one of the better run stoppers. And most if not all of those teams have a better passing attack to worry about.

Same here, I had family come down from Mass and my Aunt caught pneumonia (she brought that with her). However, I've been sick for what feels like three weeks now. If there is a sickness wave coming, lets hope its comes down during the bye.

 

Normally, I would pregame with some Xbox (currently Elden Ring), but my new chair came in, gotta put that together for the game. Its red and black though...is that an omen?

That's funny!  My mom makes "team" blankets for folks...of course mine is a Redskins, and she made my husband one that's just red & black plaid for both UGA and the Falcons not knowing that he was a Niners fan.

I am now thinking low scoring game as well. Might just come down to who's kicker is better if neither team ends up not scoring a single TD.
