China
Moscow Elite in a Panic Over Tape Blasting Putin as ‘Satan’ Two prominent supporters of Vladimir Putin have been accused of calling the Russian president “Satan” and a “dwarf” in a leaked phone conversation that has erupted into a full-blown scandal. The 35-minute phone call, shared by Ukraine’s Channel Five, allegedly features Russian oligarch and former senator Farkhad Akhmedov and prominent Moscow music producer Iosif Prigozhin delving into a profanity-laced tirade against Putin and his inner circle. The Russian government has “****ed us, our children, their future, their destiny,” Akhmedov allegedly said in the leaked call, referring to the Kremlin’s handling of the war in Ukraine, according to Meduza. “He’s Satan,” he goes on to say of Putin in the phone call, which reportedly took place on Jan. 24. A significant portion of the conversation was dedicated to criticizing the Russian president and other members of the Kremlin elite for allegedly using Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu as a scapegoat for Moscow’s failures in the war on Ukraine. They call Shoigu “a dumbass, behind his back, of course,” Prigozhin allegedly complained on the call. “They are the dumbest people. My opinion is simple: they act like kings, like ****ing gods. They are finished creatures... I can’t say anything good about them. They are scumbags, damn it.” “These are ****roaches, damn it, in a glass, they are already nibbling each other,” Akhmedov added. “They will destroy one, then they will devour each other, they will seize the throat there. They will drown each other.” Though Prigozhin initially claimed the recording was fake in a video message—suggesting it was the product of “neural networks” that “allow you to make miracles”—he later admitted that at least some of the phases heard on the tape were real. China
Russia's newest army corps lost many of its tanks in an offensive because it simply copied tactics that failed in the past, UK intel says Russia's newest army corps, which is less than a year old, is fast losing tanks as it tries to take new ground in eastern Ukraine. And that's because it's repeating tactics that have failed Russia's military in the past, according to UK intelligence. The UK Ministry of Defence said in an intelligence update on Tuesday that Russia's 10th Tank Regiment, part of the new 3rd Army Corps, has "likely lost a large proportion of its tanks while attempting to surround Avdiivka from the south." Avdiivka is a town in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine, which the UK MOD said Russia has recently made a priority. But the MOD said that Russia was seeing little progress there. "Russian forces have made only marginal progress at the cost of heavy losses in armoured vehicles," it said. The regiment's losses, the MOD said, are likely down to it copying flawed strategies that haven't previously worked for Russia. "10th Tank Regiment's losses have likely largely been due to tactically flawed frontal assaults similar to those in other recent failed Russian armoured attacks, such as around the town of Vuhledar," it said. China
Ukraine Mercilessly Mocks Steven Seagal Over Russia Military Report Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense mocked Michigan-born Russian citizen Steven Seagal after the action-movie actor reportedly promoted the teaching of martial arts to Russian military recruits. “It’s been reported that Russia has recruited Steven Seagal to teach martial arts to its soldiers,” the Ukraine government agency wrote on Twitter Thursday. “Rumor has it that the Seagal-style running technique will be included in the training,” it continued. “Russian soldiers will now be able to run away from their positions with weird hand motions.” Click on the link for the full story 12
China
Russia stops sharing information about nuclear forces with the U.S. A senior Russian diplomat said Moscow had suspended sharing information about its nuclear forces with the United States, including notices about missile tests. Sergei Ryabkov, Russia's deputy foreign minister, said in remarks carried by news agencies that Moscow had halted all information exchanges with Washington after previously suspending its participation in the last remaining nuclear arms pact with the U.S. Last month, Russian president Vladimir Putin suspended the New START treaty, saying Russia could not accept U.S. inspections of its nuclear sites under the agreement at a time when Washington and its Nato allies had openly declared Russia’s defeat in Ukraine as their goal. Moscow emphasized that it was not withdrawing from the pact altogether and would continue to respect the caps on nuclear weapons. The Russian foreign ministry initially said Moscow would keep notifying the U.S. about planned test launches of its ballistic missiles, but Ryabkov’s statement reflected a change of course. China
Notorious Russian Colonel Who Oversaw Slaughter Of Hundreds Of Ukrainian Troops Is Found Dead Russian Colonel Dmitry Lisitsky, who was responsible for war crimes in Ukraine, was found dead with a gunshot wound in his home city. The cause of his death is disputed, with conflicting reports from the Ukrainian and Russian sides – one side claims it was an elimination while the other is calling it suicide, respectively. Yuri Butusov, who was the first to report the news to the Western world, claimed that Lisitsky was “liquidated” as retribution for the 2014 ‘Ilovaisk cauldron’ massacre in the Donetsk region, where more than 350 Ukrainian servicemen were killed after pro-Russian troops mowed down retreating Ukrainians during a ceasefire. The man responsible for the carnage was Lisitsky. Putin’s reaction to the massacre was to give the commander of Russia’s first Airborne Assault Battalion of the 247th Airborne Assault Regiment the nation’s highest medal, “the Hero of Russia.” The Russians on the other hand, are claiming that the colonel took his own life with his hunting rifle in his Stavropol apartment. The latter according to Russian sources is a result of a depression brought on by a complaint about his behavior against his own side in the ongoing war in Ukraine. According to these sources, Lisitsky’s colleagues confirmed the colonel’s ailing psychological state. Butusov also claimed that the colonel’s battalion was routed in the battle for Kharkiv and took severe losses while retreating, and on September 9, 2022, it was reported that the colonel had lost an entire unit in the Kerson region. FootballZombie
Putin's full circle of one of the greatest military blunders in human civilization finally completes the loop, more or less. Welcome to NATO: Finland clears Turkish hurdle, will join military alliance is coming weeks https://breakingdefense.com/2023/03/welcome-to-nato-finland-clears-turkish-hurdle-will-join-military-alliance-in-coming-weeks/ Hungary ratified Finland a few days ago, and with Turkeys ratification there are only "formalities" separating Finland from NATO. Sweden will prob have to wait till after the turkish elections. Anyways, NATO just massively increased its land boarder w/ Russia. Good stuff. LadySkinsFan
On Oct. 14, a Russian engineer named Gleb Karakulov boarded a flight from Kazakhstan to Turkey with his wife and daughter. He switched off his phone to shut out the crescendo of urgent, enraged messages, said goodbye to his life in Russia and tried to calm his fast-beating heart. But this was no ordinary Russian defector. Karakulov was an officer in President Vladimir Putin’s secretive elite personal security service — one of the few Russians to flee and go public who have rank, as well as knowledge of intimate details of Putin’s life and potentially classified information. Karakulov, who was responsible for secure communications, said moral opposition to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and his fear of dying there drove him to speak out, despite the risks to himself and his family. He said he hoped to inspire other Russians to speak out also. “Our president has become a war criminal,” he said. “It is time to end this war and stop being silent.” https://www.yahoo.com/news/war-criminal-elite-putin-security-151529896.html 4
