It’s kind of amazing that the penalty for telling congress to go **** themselves is 30 days and a hundred bucks.

Poor people spend more money and time just awaiting the chance to be forced into a plea deal for a crime they didn’t commit.

The penalty was likely made a century and a half ago when $100 could buy a three bedroom house and seven cows.

Even if he gets the maximum, it still doesn't compel him to talk.  It's not like civil contempt where they can be held until they decide to change their minds.

Is that true?  He’s facing one charge of not turning in documents.  If he didn’t turn over docs abc, can they additionally charge him if he doesn’t turn in docs def?
