Heinicke has basically thrown for 200 yards per game, and his totals, averaged for 16 games, are 3,200 yards passing, 21 TD's, and 14 Int's. Plus, it looks like you can count on him for about 300 yards rushing and 3 more TD's. We're getting that for 2.5 million. We could have paid Kirk Cousins 20 million a year for an extra 50 yards per game, a few TD's, and the knowledge that he'd vomit on himself at the end of the season when it mattered most. Heinicke clearly isn't a long term solution but we're getting more bang for the buck and were able to do things like extend Jon Allen because of it.
