I make that walk twice a day for work. It SUCKS. Especially when the cicadas were out and were invading the sidewalk 😂😂 had to avoid them by walking in the street..... 

 

and not looking forward to the cold weather again. Walking both ways in the cold is awful.

Really disagree with this. I'm an Eagles fan who went to both of those stadiums many times to watch them play. I thought Giants Stadium was awesome. (The new one is horrible though). FedEx is ... well, you guys all know already.

Did you know that Jack Kent Cooke used the original Giants Stadium as a model for what he wanted FedEx to be like?

My experience of the old meadowlands was not positive in any way. But ok. Have you been to qwest, soldier field or Heinz?

My dad was there and said he didn’t hear any HTTR at all. He did hear a “let’s go r**sk**s” chant for a couple minutes at the start but nothing other than that

We can come up with all the anecdotes as to why attendance is bad, and I agree all of them factor in some.  However, the main underlying issue is a franchise that simply doesn't win very much season in and season out.  This didn't happen overnight.  The fans during the Snyder era, and almost a decade leading up to that if we want to be honest, have been fooled so many times into thinking the team would be different and it always turns out roughly the same, save a few seasons.

I can see the losing as more of a factor as to why fewer and fewer people want to invest in SEASON tickets, as there have been far too many years when they've had to pay for worthless November and December games.

 

But in my mind hope is supposed to spring eternal at the beginning of every season. And yet in recent years (not 2020, obviously), we've seen very empty club and upper decks for home openers. That just doesn't seem right that we can't get enough casual fans in the DMV to make it look respectable.

Parking lots were empty. Stadium was missing rows and rows of people (not even limited to just WFT fans).

You all also have to realize we're still in the middle of a pandemic and the DMV is very precautionary when it comes to all the mandates/risks/etc.  I definitely believe that is playing into it a bit.

Yeah but it's all political and a lot of those areas don't care there is a pandemic and think it's a hoax.  Places like Raiders stadium required vaccine proof to go to the game.

 

Hell my mom has season tickets to the Steelers and lives in Silver Spring, and her and my stepdad are not sure if they want to drive up to the game this weekend or not because they are a bit nervous.  They are also both fully vaccinated.

 

Montgomery County is one of the best in the  country as far as vaccination  rates go, but we also know it's real and there is actually a pandemic going on.

 

I'm not saying it's the ONLY reason but I think it plays a part.

Unless the Team has 5 straight years of playoffs and probably at least a Super Bowl appearance within those 5 years; attendance isn’t improving.  
 

That’s what it will take to get a new fan base. The old fans that are still fans, will die off and no fans to take their place.

Was not at the game but I guess to be more specific, harassed by Charger Fans?  Harassed over Redskins gear? That I cannot imagine.

 

I would welcome harassment from opposing fans instead of the pity we have been getting.  I feel like other teams don't even think us worthy enough to mock anymore.
