Strengths
  • Took on the role of home-run threat for the Tar Heel offense.
  • Averaged 20-plus yards per catch over last 100 grabs.
  • Had eight touchdowns of 40-plus yards during career and scored every 5.3 catches since 2019.
  • Builds up and into vertical separation downfield.
  • Stem acceleration on posts created by subtle juke to loosen coverage.
  • Maintains positioning once cornerback is stacked.
  • Over-the-shoulder tracking talent with consistent focus.
  • Creates decent leverage for landing areas on deep balls.
  • Long body with long reach.
  • Battles for jump-ball positioning.
  • Shaved slants tighter.
  • Speed opens up comebacks and deep digs.
Weaknesses
  • Doesn't have short-area agility to uncover.
  • Labored footwork in and out of breaks underneath.
  • Might need to work a limited set of routes.
  • Needs to create more vertical push off the snap.
  • Doesn't allow some routes to fully mature and manipulate coverage.
  • Several touchdowns scored off very basic double moves.
  • Below-average hand strength with disturbing drop rate.
  • Allows ball to beat him up.
  • Below-average strength to sustain blocks.

Absolutely geeked about this pick. This was a guy I liked last year and hoped came out. He only got better this year and more impressive. This guy is extremely talented and a major boon to our offense.

So, goodbye Harmon, Sims, and Sims.

Steven definitely a goner. I think the other two still have a chance to compete.

Absolutely love this pick. We badly needed more speed and this guy is electric. Really high effort player too in his blocking so can see why Rivera would like him. Great value.

Harmon? Without even having a chance to show he can return from his injury and battle in training camp?

First he has to be 100% healthy.

But even then, he has to impress.

If he's healthy I wouldn't necessarily count him off the team, but he surely is going to drop to the bottom rungs of the ladder, if he makes the team

Where do you think AGG lands, with the current WR group as it stands now? Makes the team, or no? I feel like AGG and Harmon could battle for the final WR spot.

I was just going to respond to that Cooley, and point out you may have forgotten about the addition of Humphries, who is a pretty sure lock to be in the Top 4.

So, yea just one spot left for an outsider to make it, among Harmon,  S Sims, C Sims, AGG, etc

And the KR might even already be decided, with Deandre Carter

we're gonna keep six, so one of those guys will probably stick.  After all, don't think that us signing DeAndre  Carter as a free agent means he's going to make the team

The locks are McLaurin, Samuel and Humphries.  After that Brown here and Gandy Golden are probably next most likely, almost guarenteed.  But Sims, Sims, and Harmon will probably fight Carter and Wright for the last spot and might beat them

Yeah, i didnt realize how many WRs in total we have right now and how many would be battling for the final spot. Training camp/preseason will be fun

Yea, I left out Wright.

I wouldn't count him out though...

He's nothing spectacular, but neither are the guys he'll be competing with for the final 1 or 2 spots :)

And to think...the QB throwing the ball to these talented receivers, will be...Ryan Heinicke !

I’ve loved tonight’s draft picks. This team is going to be exciting to watch. Put us in prime time and watch us turn heads

I think we'll exit this draft and free agency with zero glaring weaknesses. And before anyone misinterprets me, I didn't say we wouldn't have any weakness. But no glaring weakness. When it's all said and done.

We'll be able to run with the best of them, and be a problem for any team

And honestly, who would’ve thought that after the 2019 season? Funny how fast things can change in this league.
