Tucker and his ilk seem to forget that some of these reverent assholes defecated in the Capital building. Yep, that's reverence alright.  [sarcasm]

You give them to much credit by saying they must have forgotten. They remember and they are lying about it for money. They have admitted as much.

Hell he has the footage of them doing it.

North Carolina man who wore backpack with his own name on it inside Senate on Jan. 6 charged in Capitol breach

Two friends from North Carolina — one of whom wore a backpack embroidered with his last name on it to the Senate floor on Jan. 6 — have been charged with breaching the U.S. Capitol building.

Christopher Carnell, 20, of Cary, North Carolina, and David Worth Bowman, 21, of Raleigh, North Carolina, allegedly broke into the Capitol building along with scores of Donald Trump supporters angry over Joe Biden’s win in the 2020 presidential election. At around 2:49 p.m., according to prosecutors, Carnell and Bowman made their way to the Senate floor.

Prosecutors relied on video from the New Yorker that showed Carnell huddled with others around a desk and rifling through papers apparently linked to Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz.

“He was gonna sell us out all along — look!” an unidentified rioter is heard saying. “‘Objection to counting the electoral votes of the state of Arizona.'”

“Wait, no,” Carnell replied, according to prosecutors. “That’s a good thing. He’s on our side. He’s with us. He’s with us.”

‘Just a Lie,’ ‘Bullsh*t,’ and ‘Disgusting’: Republican Senators Slam Tucker Carlson Downplaying Jan. 6 Capitol Attack

Several Republican U.S. Senators blasted Fox News’s top-rated host Tucker Carlson on Tuesday after he showed select footage from the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol and suggested the day’s events were not particularly violent and that lawmakers who suggested otherwise had “lied” to the American public.

Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) made clear at a press conference Tuesday that he stood with the Capitol Police chief, who vehemently condemned Carlson. “So, that’s my reaction to it. It was a mistake, in my view, for Fox News to depict this in a way that is completely at variance with what our Chief law enforcement official here at the Capitol thinks,” McConnell said.

CNN’s Manu Raju spoke to various GOP Senate leaders who shot down Carlon’s attempts to downplay attacks on law enforcement that day. “To somehow put that in the same category as a permitted peaceful protest is just a lie,” Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-ND) told Raju.

I saw the McConnell clip...this latest attempt at rewriting J6 history is not gonna go MAGA's way lol. And to have ol' Tuck doing this after everyone alive saw just a few days ago how he wanted FOX on-air talent to purposefully lie to its audience to keep stock prices high and how he wanted a coworker fired for telling the truth, just makes his efforts on this J6 footage look even more ridiculous. I don't see FOX surviving this intact.

It was especially disgusting of Carlson to politocize the death of Sicknick.  The medical examiner admitted in April 2021 that his death was due to "natural causes".  Yes, there was speculation the brain clots were due to him. getting attacked, but no one officially said he died as a direct result of injuries sustained in the attack.

Carlson blatently lied to act like the administration/authorities/thought police" are lying about this incident.

Key Proud Boys trial skids to halt after accidental leak of classified info to defense

A major federal government case against the militant Proud Boys in the Jan. 6 uprising temporarily ground to a halt Thursday after the Justice Department accidentally leaked likely classified information to the defense.

The case is widely regarded as the most important to date regarding the 2021 Capitol riot.

The apparent leak of suspected classified information was tied to the testimony this week of FBI Special Agent Nicole Miller, a lead investigator in the case, Politico reported Thursday.

Prosecutors shared with the defense internal FBI messages sent and received by Miller at work that supported her testimony. The messages were supposed to be scrubbed of any classified information, but it apparently was still accessible in hidden sections of the Excel spreadsheet supplied to the defense, according to Politico.

Prosecutors learned of the major snafu when the defense reportedly began grilling Miller — in front of jurors — on what appeared to be classified information. U.S. District Court Judge Tim Kelly paused the trial Thursday and ordered defense attorneys to refrain from reviewing or disseminating the messages until the FBI was able to conduct a review of the information.

Group Seeks Disbarment of a Trump-Aligned Lawyer for a Key Jan. 6 Witness

Prominent lawyers filed a scathing ethics complaint against Stefan Passantino, who represented Cassidy Hutchinson in the early stages of the House committee’s investigation.

In appearing before the Jan. 6 committee last year, Cassidy Hutchinson, the former White House aide who recounted President Donald J. Trump’s conduct in the lead-up to the attacks on the Capitol, shared how her original lawyer had tried to influence her testimony.

While represented by that lawyer, Stefan Passantino, Ms. Hutchinson was less forthcoming to the committee. But after hiring a different lawyer, she provided more damaging details about Mr. Trump and said that Mr. Passantino had pressured her to remain loyal and protect the former president.

Now, several dozen prominent legal figures, including past presidents of the American Bar Association and the District of Columbia Bar, are seeking to revoke Mr. Passantino’s license to practice law. The move reflects intensifying scrutiny over whether Mr. Passantino, a former Trump White House ethics lawyer whose legal fees were covered by Mr. Trump’s political action committee, violated his own professional duty, along with a host of other ethical requirements, by putting the interests of a third party over that of his client.

In a 22-page complaint filed on Monday with D.C.’s Board on Professional Responsibility, prominent lawyers accused Mr. Passantino of the crimes of subornation of perjury, obstruction of justice, witness tampering and bribery. The latter referred in part to Ms. Hutchinson’s allegation that his advice to say little to the panel was accompanied by assurances that she would get a “really good job in ‘Trump world.’”

I believe I mentioned being told that about the only thing the legal profession considers unethical, is doing things that aren't in the client's interest.

Like, say, a lawyer urging a client to take the fall for a mob boss.

The video I posted up above goes into this as well...This will only give Hutchinson and her testimony more legitimacy, which will absolutely piss off MAGAland. Anyone still think having her testify was a mistake?

Tambourine-wielding ex-NYPD cop who screamed ‘I’m a f—-ing animal’ convicted in Jan. 6 Capitol riot

A former New York police officer who was seen — and heard — shaking a tambourine as she made her way through the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 has been convicted of a slew of felonies and misdemeanors in connection with the riot.

Sara Carpenter, 53, was seen on surveillance footage inside the Capitol Rotunda at around 2:45 p.m., around a half-hour after Donald Trump supporters had first breached the Capitol after violently overwhelming police, the Justice Department said in a press release. The mob’s entry into the building forced Congress to halt its certification of Joe Biden’s electoral win and either evacuate the building or shelter in place for several harrowing hours.

“Carpenter confronted a line of police officers inside the Capitol, shook her tambourine and screamed ‘I’m a f—— animal,'” the DOJ’s press release says, adding that she pushed up against law enforcement officers who were guarding a hallway into the Senate chamber.

According to investigators, Carpenter voluntarily provided the tambourine — as well as other items she had with her at the Capitol that day — to federal agents, along with a video she took while inside.
