LetMeSeeYourWarFace21
I hate the names of so many of these stadiums now. They all sound so dry & corporate......Aren't there any billion dollar companies with cool names like "Gladiator" or "Thunderdome"? In a perfect world our stadium would be named "Joe Gibbs Stadium". I got 3-4 Sean Taylor jerseys and the only time in life I ever came close to permanently stop watching football was when he was murdered. An entire stadium dedication would be too much. He's getting a statue. That's well enough. That would have to go to Joe Gibbs. If it were to be a non corporate affiliated name (which it would never be anyway). spjunkies
We should probably pay attention to this 76ers arena situation. https://www.cbsnews.com/philadelphia/news/sixers-proposed-arena-new-jersey-philadelphia-76-place/
hail2skins
Yeah, the fact that 76 Place has been discussed for a while and the target date for it was placed in the early 2030s indicated to me that we weren't going to be out of the current place in Landover anytime soon.

Which sucks if accurate, but I’d rather wait for it to be done right than done fast, that’s how we ended up with the current place.

Redwards
At this point, I really don't care if the new stadium is in D.C. or not. Yes, I would absolutely prefer it to be there, no question about it. But we're playing in an absolute dumpster, and need to get out of it as soon as reasonably possible. There are plenty of teams that don't actually play in the city that they represent: Cowboys, 49ers, Jets, Giants, etc. It's not mandatory. Harris doesn't strike me as a guy who is much interested in waiting around for much longer for this thing to get the green light. They've got to start making real headway soon because getting a new stadium requires so many varied elements to come together, which takes serious time. He said recently that he's still looking at 2030 for this thing to happen. Which means that if this thing regarding the city doesn't shake out soon, it's bye bye to the city.

Jumbo
Guidance 😇 Per what is in the OP, the actual title of the thread, and our Stadium forum rules, here are things that are on topic. Locations, pro and con. Construction feature choices--wants, comparisons to existing stadiums. Costs. Matters like parking, food options, tailgating, restrooms, etc. Here are things not on topic (and most would be in violation of Stadium rules): Branding/rebranding, uniforms, logos, past/future team name changes, comments on the hotness of any media figure or players relative😄 and ANY matter with ANY political or sociopolitical aspects EVEN if still connected to getting a new stadium----that would go in the tailgate forum. Thenk yew. 😉
