Cowboys Rumors: Unnamed Player Says Coaches 'Aren't Good at Their Jobs'

File this under "At least we're not the Cowboys"...which applies pretty much every day lol...

Following a disastrous 38-10 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Monday night, frustration seems to be boiling over in the Dallas Cowboys locker room.

Per NFL Network's Jane Slater, an unnamed Cowboys player said members of the coaching staff "aren't good at their jobs."

Another player said the coaches are "totally unprepared. They don't teach. They don't have any sense of adjusting on the fly."...

Head coach Mike McCarthy is in his first year with the Cowboys. Mike Nolan joined the staff as defensive coordinator, despite not having that job in the NFL since his final season with the Atlanta Falcons in 2014. The 61-year-old spent the previous three years as the linebackers coach for the New Orleans Saints.

Good thing they’re playing the Washington “get-rights” on Sunday. It’ll be their get right game against us. Everyone seems to have one.

It won' matter to their fans...CZ members are done with both McCarthy and Nolan. Beating us will have no effect, expecially if they revert to form the following week.

What will be wild to imagine is if the Giants win right along with the WFT...it would mean the Giants at 2-5 are now in 1st place lol...

Wait....aren’t we in 3rd place though, even with the same record (1-5, 1-1 in division) as them? How would they then be in first place if both us and the giants win, since that would make it the same records (both 2-5, and 2-1 in division)?

Head to head...Did you already block it out of your  memory that the Giants beat us 2 days ago?

Then wouldn’t THEY be in 3rd place today instead of us? How are we in 3rd place and they’re in 4th?

EDIT: nevermind. Saw standings somewhere that showed us in 3rd place. NFL.com standings lists us in 4th, which looks to be correct

I feel a bit fortunate that I stopped having any expectation of the Cowboys ever being a championship team again.  It may happen someday, but the past decade has taught me that there is too much randomness to ever expect anything from them.

I watch kickers go from the best ever to missing everything they try.  I watch them draft three all pro OL, only to see the Cowboys struggle due to poor offensive line play.  They go from one of the worst passing O in the league a couple years ago, to record passing numbers this season... only for them lose most of their games while fumbling the ball more frequently than they have since 1960.  They draft guys that have elite rookie years, make all pro/pro bowl during their rookie seasons, then steadily have declines in performance year after year.  At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if Dallas somehow ends up with the worst WR group in the NFL by this time next season.  Any hole they plug in the off-season will be offset by some type of decline elsewhere. Hope is for suckers.

This team isn’t good. They aren’t well coached. Quite frankly, they do nothing right. Our special teams? Terrible as well.

-Negative 12 in the turnover ratio

-Terrible against the run

-Terrible against the pass

-Allowed a league high 84 points after turnovers

-Zeke fumbles about twice a game

-Injuries, Injuries, Injuries

2nd string QB

2nd string TE

3rd string LT

2nd string C

3rd string RT

That is just on offense. The only time the defense stops anybody is when they stop themselves. Worst in the NFL with only 1 pick ... which honestly shouldn’t have counted as Smith hit Goff in the head which should have been a penalty. Two fumble recoveries.

Dak was able to mask a lot of issues this team had. Dalton will not and cannot do the same. Kellen Moore is one of the worst offensive coordinators in the league. Myles Garrett? Cool. Put a UDFA RT against him one on one. More injuries? Let’s run long developing screens and pass plays.

This team is a mess and it needs to be blown up. We are begging you to beat us and put us out of our misery

WFT - 31

Dallas - 10

The NFC east is such a joke and every team’s fans have given up all hope. Sad state of affairs, really.

The difference is, nobody expected WFT to be any good this season.

They are pretty much where everyone expected them to be.

The Cowboys were being put up there as a contender in the NFC, and they look horrible.

Yeah, they lost Dak Prescott, but they weren't winning with him, either.

Just a case of the sports media once again over rating Dallas.

Dallas Cowboys’ Chances of Winning Super Bowl 55 – Odds, Analysis, and Prediction

I’m not ready to crown the Cowboys just yet. If you’re asking yourself if the Cowboys can win Super Bowl 2021, however, you at least have some serious hope.

Mike McCarthy has been there, done that, when it comes to the big game. He knows how to deal with strong personalities, he puts together incredibly underrated game plans, and he’s consistently won at a high level.

In Dallas, he inherits an under-achieving unit that is otherwise stacked with talent and ready to win now.

What are the chances Jerry parts way with Mike at the end of the year....or at the very least, forces him to gut his staff and start over?

0%.

Jerry is too loyal to himself to admit fault. He will fire Nolan and some coordinators. Then he will say McCarthy gets another “full” season before he does any big firings

The better question is when is Jerrah going to leave a bunch of vanilla ice cream on Nolan's desk? :)

The sad part about it is they'll do the exact same thing next season.

And the season after. Over rate Dallas and put them in the Super Bowl. :dallas_sucks:

If the Boys miss the playoffs; it could be one and done situation. Depends on Jerry's ego.

Does that include Tomsula ?
