If they fire him they could win a couple games in one of those "play hard for the new guy" streaks that every team goes through(i.e. Falcons just now, Texans these last two weeks won and could have won today, hell even us last year with Callahan). We need to hope the Jets fire Gase and Gregg Williams takes over as head coach and does enough to win 2-3 games. I think 2-14 or 3-13 is realistic for us this year. They're terrible but this is clearly a team that has imploded and cannot win under current leadership. Either way, just look at their schedule and you'll see why they are the huge favorite to land the top pick. We're probably slotting in the 2-4 range. NOBODY passes up on franchise QBs like Lawrence. Nobody. The Colts had Peyton freaking Manning and let him walk because they had the #1 pick when Andrew Luck was available.
