Football Team vs Eagles Game Day Thread

He might, but it’s hard to tell because we have the worst offensive talent in the NFL. You may have forgotten because people around here talked themselves into thinking Turner was an offensive genius in the making just because he believes in some popular analytical principles. We’ve got a ways to go but we aren’t doing anything to help Haskins. Don’t even see the multiple RB’s running short routes for easy completions to replicate a running game we heard about

Haskins isn’t doing anything to help receivers either.  There have been a couple plays where more touch gives his receiver a chance to go up and fight for a ball but he overthrew them.

That said the Thomas route was infuriating, dislike the guy already.

the atl/sea game on locally, like every nl game the last couple years, is so much better for a football fan than anything the football team brings to the table, overall

even devout fans of this team feel far more free to just watch other games that remind them why like nfl football...you can try what i do the last couple years during the season more than not...just check in on this team briefly to see how it's going until serious improvement is real...treat it like some other tv-fare...just check in a little to see how they're doing and go watch options that more worth watching :D

Traps played a good game today. That TE TD was a great play design and an even better throw. Bostic shouldn't be in coverage. That play is different if he was covered by SDH.

Truthfully, I'm not even sure SDH makes that play.

If our offense wasn’t a disaster this would be a competitive game.  Secondary is getting a lot of grief, and that’s reasonable, but this game hasn’t gotten out of hand despite the offense doing nothing.

Haskins and the offense have to score points.  They have to do more than score zero points or nothing else the team does matters.

I’m really disappointed in Scott Turner’s offensive design and play calling.

You help a young team with motion, temp and quick throws and we’ve seen none of it.

It’s massively disappointing.

What continues to boggle my mind season in and season out, is that how this franchise seems to continually have 4-5 players on defense on any given play that don't seem like they even belong playing at the NFL level.

Every team has their 1 or 2 emergency sub players that might get blown up on a random play or two throughout the game, but they are quickly taken out and never heard from again until the next game.

No one is expecting pro-bowl or even very good players at every single position, but it continues to amaze and puzzle me how our secondary continually have players that simply do not look like they belong anywhere near the professional level.

we really need to put together a series of offensive drives/conversions. if not to get in FG range, than just to build some confidence and consistency before the half.

We did but our kicker missed the FG, because why not.

This isn't a reply to defend Haskin's overall half of play, but that "overthrow" to McLaurin.....did you all not see the replay?  He threw it right to where Terry would have been had Terry not been grabbed, held, and pulled.  There is no excuse for not throwing a flag on that play.  He beat his defender soundly and then was clearly held.

agree. the commentators even spent time post-play during the replay that the refs are "letting them play"/"get after it" aka there was definite contact.

Haskins needs a lot of work. He’s a guy who needed preseason snaps. Same holds true for the offense. A lot to expect them to come out clicking having this many new pieces. Lack of preseason really hurt teams like us and therefore helped teams like philly who have been in the same system for a number of years. Let’s see what the second half is like.  Haskins mechanics are terrible. I would be fine with him sitting for another year. He needs a ton of work. Play calling is also atrocious.
