China Posted January 27, 2021 Share Posted January 27, 2021 John Lewis memorial to replace former Confederate monument The Decatur Square will soon have a memorial of former civil rights activist John Lewis, who represented Dekalb County in Congress for more than 30 years. DeKalb County Commissioners approved a resolution Jan. 26 that supports the Lewis monument being placed on the grounds of the Historic DeKalb County Courthouse where a Confederate monument was removed in June 2020.
