Has your team support wained due to ownership or can you see past it?

  1. 1. Will you attend a game and support the team while Dan Snyder is the owner of the team, regardless of success?

    • Yes
    • No
    • I would start attending games if Dan was no longer the owner of the team.

Some jerk literally just asked Julie Donaldson on twitter if Snyder has asked her or any of her friends to sleep with him yet...yeah. Classy 😑

she responded with “come on, not cool. Or funny”.

Who cares? Why should people tiptoe around it? Danny is PRAYING that on-field news distracts people from this so I don't mind people continuing to bring it to the surface.

That "by" better damn well be 'by" or I'm gonna get pissed.

I'm assuming the ones being interviewed are the ones who already put their faces with their accusations in the WP.

I figured that as well, but it’s different to see someone’s face while they talk about it and experience their emotion, or even just hear it straight from them. It humanizes people in a way that an article, even pictures, cannot. It gets people riled up.

The guy was making a joke of sexual harassment, to a woman, one that works in the broadcast booth even. It’s just not a thing someone should joke about. And her response was 100% great.

I didn't see it, so I'll take your word for it. But I think any time someone brings it back to surface and doesn't let it get swept under the rug for on-the-field football it's a net good thing. The approach might be crude, but it's not bad that people realize we won't be distracted by shiny objects, etc.

Does Snyder even realize 99.99999999% of the fanbase wants him gone? My guess is he’s clue-free on the state of the fans.

Not a chance in the world he’s oblivious to that.  However, I’m sure he files this under “its because of the losing” vs. the fans actually hating him.  In his mind, he believes that this time things are going to work out and everyone will love him for it.

Do you really think some anonymous schmuck on twitter is gonna cause any truth to be revealed?...Or that dozens of anonymous schmucks asking her over and over again if Snyder tried to get her to sleep with him will result in anything other than her feeling embarrassed and attacked?

I'm just very bothered by how many people seem ready to move back to football. I do feel bad that JD would need to deal with this, but I am terrified that, once again, fans will eventually tire of this story and focus on the team. I really want Snyder to have to answer for what he's done or allowed to be done.

Being bothered is fine, but asking a newly hired woman through twitter whether her boss has sexually harassed her yet is indescribably tone deaf. As if the questioner believes the reason she was hired is because she's attractive enough to be sexually harassed, which completely tramples over her professional achievements that earned her the job.

Understood. But let's not lose sight of the fact that the owner, not this random Twitter troll, is the reason that sexual harassment, discrimination, sex trafficking, and non-consensual pornography are attached to the organization to begin with. Ms. Donaldson has done nothing wrong, but she has her boss to thank for the climate. It doesn't excuse this one guy's behavior, but it's a much bigger issue.

His new leaders possess the integrity and diversity to signify a new day is here: Jason Wright, the NFL’s first Black team president; Julie Donaldson, the senior vice president of media who will become a trailblazer for women in NFL broadcast booths. They join Ron Rivera, the new coach and football operations boss, who also exudes character.

I mean, these are all consider great hires who have wanted to work for Snyder. Or have they simply wanted those high profile roles in the NFL and the best way to get them was via Snyder. As noted though, these are all people of high integrity.

There is no defending the guy. No doubt about that. But somehow these people have been enticed into the organisation. Interesting times.

I was reminded of this article recently when people were wondering how the other owners feel about this guy. Still a good read. Quite frankly, they must hate this douche.

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2574163-book-excerpt-daniel-snyder-and-the-unreal-power-of-nfl-owners

“Everyone in the room was stunned. Owners and executives, sitting just several feet from one another, began texting each other, incredulous at what they were witnessing. In some of the texts, Allen was facetiously called Clarence Darrow, the legendary litigator known for his bombastic courtroom speeches.

“Owners and executives say they had never seen anything like it. Nobody had ever gotten so personal or made such threats.”

He saved some of his harshest remarks for John Mara, co-owner of the Giants and one of the most respected men in all of sports, a key cog who has been with the team for decades. Mara was furious.

I hate Allen and he is clearly an asshole of the highest order...but this, made me smile. **** John Mara.

I knew when Snyder bought this team 20 years ago it was not going to go well for us but I never imagined how

bad this was going to turn out. Snyder and his staff is making the Browns look like a high class organization.

I wonder how many other NFL owners want Snyder to sell the team.

I've never seen an owner get public PR heat like this. Dan deserves every bit of it, an ESPN special to go along with this? I'm going to have my popcorn ready, God bless these women.

I don't see how this is aired without the NFL getting a heads up about it. Seems like they may actually want Dan to go away but would rather him do it on his own accord. Am I looking too far into this to speculate that?

I wish I knew...I was actually excited. I thought an aggressive owner was what we needed. Whoops!

Nope.  I think the NFL are pulling the strings behind all of this.  Too many things have happened without their involvement

Goodell has always come out and defended the name but this time it's crickets.  Nike pulled apparel off the shelves.. they're the official merchandise of the league.  No chance that happens without the NFL getting a heads up.  The ESPN thing is just another sign that the NFL is perfectly fine with it all.

I agree. I don't think the NFL will actually hold a vote to kick him out, but I think they are perfectly fine leaving Danny on an island and letting the chips fall where they may. If they had to choose between defending him or staying quiet, mum will be the word.

I'm still floored that the worst thing we've heard about Bruce was "He had to have known."

I'm assuming the investigators will be talking to him, as well as Vinny since some of the accusations go back to when he was an executive with the team.

For once, Vinny being a clueless moron will work in his favor.

I’m fine with him being a aggressive owner.  Except it’s knowing when to pick his spots to be one.   When he started he was guns blazing which I can respect but he underestimated how tough it was building a team.   After his early mistakes he needed to get a real gm and coach in place to stabilize things.  Who knows what we could have done in 2000s if he had just been aggressive in putting the best leadership in place during the 90s because we had decent teams.

Right...I'm just saying I was dead wrong. There was that malaise in the middle part of the 1990s. To that point in my lifetime it was easily the longest stretch of non-winning Redskin football, so I saw a new aggressive owner as a shot in the arm. In hindsight, I so wish John Kent Cooke would have taken over.

"During the 90s'?...He was only owner for 1 year during the 90s, and became owner rather late into the 1999 offseason. Not sure what he could have realistically done in the 90s in terms of putting together the best leadership team possible in those 7 months.

Shhhhh....

The 90’s were more of a state of mind, man.
