How Far will the Bears make it?

After the game on sunday, I realized that the bears have had the best fortune this season (not taking anything away from them). How many overtime wins? fakes that worked out just right?

Will they even win their division? If they finish with the same record as GB, then they lose due to tiebreakers.

I dunno folks, just seems that it'll be a Rams/Steelers Superbowl with that Damn Dome team winning. No looking forward to watching two teams I dislike so much.

I like the Bears. If I HAD to pick a second favorite team they would be a top candidate. But, I'm not sold on the strength of their team just yet. They could win a game but I can't see them making it to the big game.

I like their style of football, though. Physical, NFC East type game.

I've always liked the Bears and hope they do well in the playoffs.

They are a very good team but not a great one, Certainly, they've made the most of thier personnel, the breaks, etc.

Hope they go all the way but don't see them making it past the 2nd round.

The Bears are limited by having Miller at quarterback. Of the playoff teams I see entering the postseason the Bears have the least gifted passer in the entire group. Consider: Warner, Favre, Garcia, McNabb, Brooks or Johnson.

That means the Bears have to be stronger than those teams elswhere if not across the board to win. I don't think they have that clear advantage in personnel.

People point to Trent Dilfer, Mark Rypien, Jeff Hostetler, etc....as good but not great quarterbacks that won the Super Bowl.

True, but in their playoff matchups, these players were on teams that a CLEAR personnel edge on their opponents.

The Bears are a couple of players short of having that kind of team.

Struggling to beat the 6-8 Redskins 20-15, Chicago proved that they could win a game when they were not playing their best football.

But that is a far cry from beating Kurt Warner and Marshall Faulk in the Dome or having to travel to Lambeau to face the Packers.

The quarterback will be the difference on the team that makes it to the Super Bowl.
