When your record is 3-13, you're likely to not have a good record on any primetime games...yet even the most crappy teams get a Sunday or Thursday night game.

It wasn’t just last year though, it’s been every season. We’re awful even when we’re 7-9 or 8-7-1.

I couldn't be happier with the skins not in the spotlight... I believe even when we played on Thanksgiving we even had Thursday night games but this year we don't.. this is like 2 years in a row with no primetime game with the Eagles, that's odd.

Let's get summer over with!!

We beat the raiders packers..I mean I'm not looking for a break down on what our record is in primetime..I dont need it..the Redskins were..haa..were..horrendous in primetime..

That's just the past. We havn't been that bad lately on primetime. Some people even believe we've reversed the trend.

12 prime time games (I'm counting the Giants Thanksgiving one we won, but not the two Cowboys ones we lost) over the past four years...….we are 3-9 in them. Nice try.

When people talk about the Skins primetime woes, the focus is mainly on our home record on MNF. We have won TWO home MNF games in the 23 seasons playing at Landover.  Even considering how poor the Skins have been, that is mind-bogglingly bad.

Your post said, "when we're 7-9 or 8-7-1"

During all those years except for one of them, we were just 1 game below 500 on Primetime.

That is not terrible.

It's not great.

But it's not terrible.

If a team is not great at something, it doesn't make them terrible.

There are things other than extremes.

Winning about 1 or 2 PrimeTime games a year is not terrible.

This has been our prime-time exposure in roughly the past decade. Previous seasons record in parenthesis:

2009 (8-8): 3 PTG

2010 (4-12): 3 PTG

2011 (6-10): 1 PTG

2012 (5-11): 2 PTG plus Thanksgiving (one of the PTG was a flex game at the end of season). This was also RG3's first season, so ok

2013 (10-6): 4 PTG. Division champs, plus RG3 factor still, so ok

2014 (3-13): 3 PTG

2015 (4-12): 3 PTG

2016 (9-7): 3 PTG plus Thanksgiving plus London

2017 (8-7-1): 3 PTG plus Thanksgiving

2018 (7-9): 2 PTG plus Thanksgiving

2019 (7-9): 2 PTG

2020 (3-13): Thanksgiving

I think the past few seasons have been reasonable, but you can see there have been seasons in the past where our prime-time exposure where our previous season record in no way justified our prime time exposure.

How so ?

I said "that bad"

I didn't say "bad". I said "that bad"

Again, not everything is one extreme or another.

Or one polar opposite or another.

There are varying degrees that people do not acknowledge.

In those years where we were 1 game below .500 in prime time, at least 5 of those were embarrassments. Only losses we were in until the end were @ Chiefs in 2017 and Vs cowboys in 2015. Yeah, that’s bad.

Cooley posted a list of 18 primetime games over the past 5 seasons. The Redskins are 5-13 in them. If that isn't bad, I'd like to know what your definition of bad is.

Ahh the life of a skins fan.

Getting together in large numbers to debate how badly we've sucked.

Again, 5-13 is barely below 500

And like I said it's about in proportion to our average records.

That was the question - is our PrimeTime record that much different than our overall record.

Fact is, our PrimeTime record is not factually much different than our overall record, so to point to PrimeTime and say THAT'S our problem is false.

6.5 out of 13 is 500.

You're saying Five is far from 6.5 ?

Dude!!! The Redskins have won 5 out of EIGHTEEN primetime games in the six seasons Cooley cited.

That is 5 wins and 13 losses in those games.

But explain to me again how that's close to .500

How is there an argument about our primetime woes the last 20 years?  We've been laughed at, not just locally, but NATIONALLY for how much we suck in primetime games.  I don't care what team you are, you have to be some kind of awful to only win 5 times in 18 attempts AT HOME in primetime in five seasons.  Anybody questioning why we don't have any primetime games, make sure you refer back to that stat.  If that stat applied to any other team but the Redskins, they would be mocked at and laughed at here on this forum.

On Monday Night Football, we're 2-16 at Fed-Ex Field since 1997, and overall we're 6-23 on Monday Night Football in that same timespan.  If that isn't "terrible", I don't know what planet you're living in.  To be honest with you, I don't know how we've been awarded primetime games at all given our history of suckage since '97.

You guys have me laughing my ass off!

I kinda like the schedule, as mentioned earlier when you suck, you don’t get the spotlight. I dig being under the radar, underestimated and definitely the underdog.

All the sweeter when we win.
