The 2020 ES Draft Census

Recommended Posts

In the Draft thread a bunch of us decided to compile our draft thoughts and put them together to form the ES 2020 Draft Census.

Each participant was asked to send their top 3 + a wild card for each position group and their top 20. A 1st place vote in position group voting was 5 pts, 2nd was 3 points, 3rd was 2 points and wild card was a point. This is truly freaking fantastic, I really appreciate all the work this must have certainly taken to compile. The format is so easy to understand that even I get it 🤤

I would continually read the draft thread over and over so I could understand everyone’s opinions on different prospects and try in my own head to rank what I was reading.

thanks for all the hard work KDawg and all the contributors 👍👍

This really is amazing. You did a great job putting this all together @KDawg and it’s going to be awesome looking back on what you all laid out and comparing it to how things shake over the season. Major appreciation for all the contributors to this list. You all make this place a great resource to learn from and compare notes with.

It’s going to be cool as hell seeing which sleepers pop the hardest on that next level and I bet this is going to help so many people checking the forums before the draft.

Fantastic job guys, thank you. I'll have this next to me during the draft just to check your work 😋 Seriously though for those of us that can't, or don't, follow College football I love the Draft thread and the enormous body of work you always put together. Makes the whole draft much more real for me.

Great thread!

1. Joe Burrow, LSU - 56 pts

2. Tua Tagovailoa, Alabama - 40 pts

3. Justin Herbert, Oregon - 20 pts

4. Jake Fromm, Georgia - 4pts

4. Jordan Love, Utah - 4pts

6. Josh Love, UCLA - 3pts

7. Jalen Hurts, Oklahoma - 2pts

I would have Eason much higher than this. Personally I’d take him over Herbert as my QB 3 (I’m just not a believer in Herbert).

If I can make a suggestion @KDawg going forward, we split WCs into their own bracket, and a short description why they got that designation, instead of applying a 1 point value.  I'd really be interested in understanding WHY certain guys got WC votes.  For example, I picked Fromm as my WC QB, because I think if New England gets him, he fits with Belchick and the type of scheme he runs.  I picked Claypool at my TE WC because if he changes positions he could be unique.

It would appear the player that we rated the highest as a group that's probably lower on a good amount of draft boards is Antoine Winfield Jr. Extremeskins man-crush confirmed? We had him rated 2nd but he's closer to the 1st spot than he is the 3rd spot. Are a lot of mocks or analysts ranking him this highly? I had him 1st and thought I would be the only one that had him above 3rd.

I had him second. I think he’s phenomenal and he was a little lost in the Dugger/Chinn lovefest for a bit around here and now things have come back around for him. He’s a borderline first rounder in my opinion.

I had McKinney higher due to his overall play, but Winfield is much more physical and violent as a tackler.

I didn’t know who you meant so I just counted Lamb at his higher position and skipped the second Lamb like he wasn’t there :ols:
