"The Last Dance" - '97/'98 Bulls

Recommended Posts

Well, can't wait till next Sunday night...

Krause is being painted as the bad guy, kind of unfortunate for him that he's not here to defend himself.  He did a lot to put those teams together but man...you get MJ, Pippen and a power forward (HoGrant or Rodman), Phil and GTFO.  Just leave it alone.

Scottie was completely right, total disrespect not to even approach the guy with a new contract offer after multiple championships.

Seemed to have a great eye for talent. Nailed the draft. Nailed trades.

Just that damn Napoleon complex..

Mike couldn't use some his flex to get his man a better deal?

The one thing I didn't understand...Reinsdorf told him NOT to sign that contract.  I understand why Pippen did, he explained it.  But why'd Reinsdorf allow Krause to make that offer if he felt so strongly that he shouldn't have signed it?

Krause could've been considered the greatest GM in NBA history. One of the greatest in all of sports really. Just let Jordan and Phil and Pippen make their own decisions after winning multiple championships.

PS- Bulls would've obliterated the Warriors best team.

I was just stirring the pot a little using the word obliterate. I’m just not a big fan of the way the game is becoming a 3-pt shooting contest so I’m completely biased toward the past.

I OBLITERATE to you, a conscientiousness, wheras I SUPPOSE, the PROHIBITION of the NAYSAYERS, lies a TUITION, brought upon by our FORFATHERS - AND FORMOTHERS, to EXIMILATE and EXTRICIZE the IMMILATION this debatical encremulates!

A dominate BIG like Shaq will need to come to the scene to flip the switch.

Watching this makes 1997 feel like it was 50 years ago, and 2007 feel like it was 5 years ago.  It was oddly special to have high quality media, without social media.  The color TV era without everyone zoning in on a phone to put their two cents in was special.  God damit, I'm getting old.

Watching this reminds me of Jordan with the Wizards ripping on Kwame

He was a harsh competitor in practice

Kwame was soft and deserved to be ripped on.

No question, if they released all 10 episodes tonight I'd be sitting here all night watching them straight.

Kwame had the worst hands of any player I can remember

still, coming fresh outta high school, its hard to say he deserved all the flak he got so soon. development isn't linear, being a hardass isn't the only effective method out there
