Press Release: STATEMENT BY WASHINGTON #REDSKINS OWNER DAN SNYDER-BRUCE ALLEN FIRED

Recommended Posts

Not a known source Robert Hansen believes " Schafer will move into Bruce's roll and Kyle Smith moved into more of a traditional gm role. "

I actually like this.  Give people within the organization a chance to excel.  Any GM you bring in would be a somewhat unknown commodity so if this happens I like it.  Just have to determine power structure, but it will be better with Allen gone.

I wish I could get happy and excited about this but the one constant

responsible for this mess for the last 20 years is still with us.

Dan found his balls and made a statement himself!

Well they never replaced TOny Willie when he left after the Season started.

Plus this needed to come from Dan.

Could it be Dan that steps up (on a stool) to the podium today?

Yeah who’s going to face the press this week?  I assume he’ll trot out Doug.

Gibbs spotted at Redskins park with Ron R. I’m beginning to wonder if he was the outside consultant referenced this week?

I would be surprised if he wasnt one of them. A man like that on your side, it would be stupid not to use his brain a bit. The group could be what changes us. Think about the money they stand to gain if they turn this **** around? People would be calling for them every few years. And they dont even have to be known.

Well Gibbs lives in Carolina so I'm sure him and Rivera have crossed paths enough.

Look...for those that aren't satisfied with Bruce's firing...I get it..really I do...I am the biggest believer that snyder is absolutely 100% behind the misery we have endured over the past 20 plus years. But if you're a True Redskins fan ya gotta have faith. You have to..if not get out..find a new hobby..find something else to do dont let the Redskins bring you down..and dont bring us down..I am holding out hope, keeping faith that maybe just maybe snyder has finally turned the corner..I'm hoping what I stated a while ago has happened and someone with knowledge of football has finally **** slapped him and said this how ya do it..and snyder stepped out of the way of his ego and listens for once.

Could this mean Trent would be willing to come back to play for us and retire with the redskins? Or are we better off letting him go and finding a replacement?

I’d love to have him back, but i do understand replacing him since he’s older.

Experience is overrated especially if the experience has nothing to show for. This team keeps infusing the team with with outside “experience” and look where it’s gotten itself. We need new young blood for this franchise. That’s the only way to move forward. Out with the old and in with the new. That’s how Gibbs got here. Cooke got someone new. There’s a myth that Snyder needs experience; he’s been getting that throughout this “learning process”. It has been futile. Unfortunately, here we go again. We keep getting useless experience.

Whoa! I thought all the reports that hedged and implied he managed to find a way keep his hooks in the organization were true. I will stick to my credo of not celebrating someone's firing. I don't believe in dancing on graves.

Then allow me............

Good riddance

Would go ape**** if Gibbs is here to become Team Prez and run this show with fellow Carolinian Rivera.

This is what i have been secretly hoping for for a long while.

Brutal from Danny not to at least thank Bruce for his efforts. I don’t think he deserves thanks but that’s the kind of generic platitude normally dropped into these statements- things must be real icy between them from this and the video last night

JP Finley also reporting on twitter that significant changes coming to trainers and rehab staff. Can only be a good thing.

Hoffman on 106.7 the fan said he wasn't sure when asked about this and that TW kind of soured on Dan too through this process.  However, if reports are correct about dismissing training staff, I would think that would help.

Like our passionate fan base, I recognize we have not lived up to the high standards set by great Redskins teams, coaches and players who have come before us.
